  1. 4.5/5.0 combo of the BRFC creases and the stain above the staple
  2. Make sure to edit your title to denote "Grade is in"
  3. Pics when expanded are pixelated. A crease that size on the back maxes out around 8.5/9.0 if the book is otherwise perfect. It also matters how hard the crease is. A very hard crease (noticeable paper damage) will get dinged harder than a run-of-the-mill color breaking crease.
  4. A while back I posted a copy of this zine for PGM, but decided it was not up to submission standards. I found a better copy that's on its way back from a signature in April and grading. Hoping they got each signatures on the right side of the book. I didn't know the 2 artists would actually come close to me in only a few months or I probably would have done it myself. I did pay for pressing Edit: here's the post on the lower grade copy:
  5. Congrats. You should edit the original post with "Grade is In" and add the photo. No need to start a new post
  6. it will be graded like any other cover, so similar detail provided you cans show the spine without messing up the attachments
  7. 7.5ish outer, inner looks a couple of grades better. Would need more photos since the book grade is the same as the best of the 2 covers.
  8. Looks to me like an ink smudge or a stain around the "WIN". That alone would lower it to 5.5/6.0. It's also going to get a green label since these signatures aren't verified. The Green + midgrade number would limit the resale value in all likelihood, even if it is pretty neat. Unless the idea is to just keep the book from being handled, I'd put this in a sleeve for protection. I'd look to get it signed by Golden too. Missing an important contributor to this one.
  9. Outer 5.5ish, inner 7.0. As my understand of double-covers goes, that would make the grade on the slab a 7.0
  10. Never see a line like that on a Spawn. Even production defects will keep a comic out of 9.8. I would expect 9.6 is out here too b/c the defect is noticeable even if it is production related. 9.2/9.4 tops, maybe lower if the CGC grader decides it's not a production problem.
  11. 9.0/9.2 now, maybe a grade or two bumped with pressing. Square bounds are harder to get good results with pressing comparing to standard 2-staple modern comics
  12. The back cover has ink loss and perhaps some ink making it into the white. Sizeable stress line on the front. If the dents/bends come out with pressing, I still think this cuts off around 8.0
  13. Just press it. Even production flaws will keep books out of the highest grades. I would expect no more than 9.0/9.2 without pressing
  14. Looks like foxing to me plus some tanning. 6.0/6.5, I'm a little less optimistic & lean 6.0
  15. the part to the right looks like it's soaked in enough to stain. Expect 5.5ish
  16. 7.0. I don't think that they will call that a scuff. Looks like a tape pull, paper lift or similar.
  17. Can't figure out if there's some ink loss, a scuff or nothing to the right of the Marvel box. At least a 9.2 unless there's something more in the space.
