You can open it yourself if it is NOT already a yellow label.
yes, my bad for some reason I thought I had read his original post as the graded book was already signed and he would be adding to it
if the book is not signed you certainly can crack it from the slab yourself before sending in since it will be re-graded

im sending a book off to get signed which is already cgc graded. first time ever hence my question.
does cgc regrade after a book is signed or do they just create a new label?
the book would be re-graded and is not guaranteed to maintain its original grade
do not crack it out of the case yourself though so you maintain the authenticity of the original signature(s)

As a rule of thumb they will grade comics with some level of tasteful nudity (boobs) on the cover but not anything one might consider pornographic (penetration including, but not limited to, fisting).
well they will grade Iron Fist but I don’t think any issues of Power Man and Iron Fist #69 appear on the census

Part of me says, "You know, this is just going to sit in your collection for years, and you probably won't even remember that you have it six months from now."
if this is the case, why do you even want to own this?

Everything is exploding due to nostalgia . Have to see how high this market will go. Good time to sell if you need the money.
Beanie Babies?
didn’t think so, tell me when someone decides to manipulate that market, my wife is sitting on bins of these

cool, where did you opt to indicate the sig be placed? Hulk's shadow, arm, leg?

if you don't go the signature series route I suggest just seeking out a book that has an issue release date in the month and year of your son's birth, even better if you can get one where the issue # matches up with day of birth as well
get it graded and the slab will have the month/year of the book listed on the label

a little late to the party
received books on Jan 19th
greatly look forward to participating in a future Dale sale
thanks

must have been one of the “the grader was having a bad day” situations people like to use as excuses for grades coming back worse than they wanted, even though there are supposed to be 3 graders that look at a book

Hello, I have a quick question regarding the window bags. I was just finishing up packing books to send out Monday, when I noticed that Claremont was signing in February. I have a couple of books that I'd love to get signed, but after reading the requirements I see that window bags are required. Is this true? I did a search in this forum, and believe I saw that if you don't have a bag one will be supplied for your book . I'd hate to miss out on his signing!
Hopefully I can get an answer by Monday, so I can overnight Tuesday!
Thanks for any and all replies!!
per the submission instructions
- Put ALL ungraded books in window bags or they will not be accepted. You can purchase window bags HERE .https://www.cgccomics.com/news/article/8763/
CGC handlers don’t wish to spend their time opening and removing books that aren’t window bagged, not very efficient, puts them more at risk for doing damage to your book, and also does not provide a desired space allocated for where you want the signature.
Will they truly reject your book, refund your money and return it to you unsigned? I don’t know for sure but I would suggest unboxing your packaging and window bag the books ... if you are unfamiliar on how to create your own and do this there are numerous tutorials available on this site or the web

Desert Wind has an upcoming signing listed on their page. My guess is this may be one of the last opportunities to get Jazzy John's sig as I had previously heard he had retired from the autograph biz. Spots are $120 per sig (plus fees) and I bet they will go fast!
their descriptions are even more confusing than CGG
so does the $120 fee cover the sig and slabbing or just the sig?
what are the other minimum costs? I assume what we pay to ship to them and what we choose for them to charge us for return shipping .... anything else I’m missing?
really wish CGC was running this one

Kubert/Percy & Rubinstein/Claremont. Probably reached their maximum number of submissions. Oh well...
no issue here
if you select the show(s) from the Private Signings drop down it will let you proceed and will no longer be greyed out

I am trying to submit for the private signings but it does not give me the option. Private signings is greyed out. I am a paid associate member. Did I miss a deadline or is the CGC website messed up?
well first of all, it may help to elaborate on what signing you are trying to submit for
second, you don't need to be a paid member to submit for the SS signings so that wouldn't matter

Here's an idea on keys surging in the upcoming year.........What if Marvel's Phase 4 and beyond does to Fantastic Four what Phase 1-3 did for Avenger's prices? Just something to consider?
Iron Man, Cap, and Thor all had their own movies prior to The Avengers, we won’t see the same for any of Marvel’s first family. FF already inherits the stigma of 3 brutally bad Fox films. Not saying the franchise won’t be well handled in Marvel Studio’s hands, just saying you might want to reset expectations. If anything I’d bet on the mutants.
Captain America and The Falcon #133-#222... complete issue goal!

not sure if it is a good deal or not but it sounds like you enjoy this run and as the ole adage goes, collect what you like
I always enjoyed the Kirby return for this run though I’m not quite sure that on the eve of Falcon and Winter Soldier making its television debut that I’d be looking to buy Cap/Falcon books
good luck with the project though and report back
