  1. They aren’t rare, they do not exist. 9.9s and 10s are not given to the public. It is, with extremely rare exception, a grade reserved for retailers and their exclusive covers that are sent in for mass grading
  2. I just want to say that CGC Mike who is being used as a human shield by those above him has always come across as a very nice and helpful person and it sucks that he is being made to deliever these half assed statements to the public
  3. 9.9s and 10s are basically Retailer Incentives at this point. They are not available to the public
  4. In a perfect world the leading 3rd party grader of comics has higher standards than or at least reflects standard of the community. But here we are.
  5. Somewhat off topic and I don’t have any data on this but in recent years it seems as with some exceptions the vast majority of the 9.9 and 10 grades being given are are to store exclusives. In my years of subbing books I’ve always had the impression that for most of us 9.9s and 10s aren’t really even considered. If it looks perfect it gets the rubber stamp 9.8. I couldn’t possibly care less about the BS some retailers and publishers are involved in but when CGC is complicit in their actions it gives them credibility and it rubs me the wrong way. And the statement by CGC earilier in this thread about “We know what we graded and we stand behind it” is tantamount to an FU. CGC is ostensibly a transparent independent third party company, but more and more they seem involved in the nonsense. It’s really disappointing
  6. Honestly how is it any different than allowing dozens of stores to witness and verify sigs?
  7. I did that and it was pretty much he will get to them when he gets to them. In more polite terms
  8. I’ve never understood this. CGC has hundreds of independent signature witnessing facilitators, why not allow these groups that offer pressing to do this as well. It isn’t as if CCS is hurting for business with their year back log. Plus as others have said, I used them once and let’s just say never ever again
  9. Ok so my submission was delivered on July 23. USPS track shows it hasn’t been picked up from your PO. Does this mean my sub is going to be shipped back to me? USPS Tracking: 9505506654312202644735
  10. It arrived today. However I am still curious
  11. I believe the date the books have to be received by is the 24th which is a Sunday. Seems like an odd day to select my books are scheduled to be delivered on the 23rd however knowing usps they might not arrive until the 25th. Is this going to be an issue if this should occur?
  12. Congrats to all who have received theirs, they all look fantastic. That said, I hate all of you, mine is still sitting in Scheduled to Be Graded. And we are 3 weeks away from a year when CGC logged it in.
  13. I’m sending in a Fantagraphics comic (which I have confirmed cgc grades in the modern tier) that has an X-men cover by Jim Lee for his signing. Because this isn’t a marvel publication your system does not offer the custom x-men labels. Is there a way to have this done?
  14. This piece wasn’t done on a cover but I thought I’d share because I absolutely love this. Jeff Dekal commission from MegaCon, Storm….
  15. Hi I had two Sig Series fast track submissions at megacon on the same day. the first was graded shipped out last week. the second is no where to be found. Can I get a check on this, it’s sub #2726414 Thanks
  16. The sales data demonstrates that you are the minority
  17. Has Rahazzah ever attended a con? I don’t even know his real name and on IG he doesn’t even allow comments to his posts. Seems like a person who values his privacy
