That's a very odd cover

I'm waiting for the Trade paperback to come out. Looks sweet though!

Who knows? My scanner makes the colors look too faded. The actual cover is a very rich, dark blue.

Thanks - I've had it since it came out. Even though it's lost almost all its value (those once went for $500!), I still love it. Definately a classic (modern) cover.

I got this back from CGC today. I thought it would come back with a higher grade (don't we all). Still, it's the 3rd highest grade to date: I also got this off Ebay for a great price. Highest graded copy:

More evidence of my obsessive-compulsive relationship with New Adventure Comics

I finally get to cross this extremely hard-to-find book off my want list. It's the highest (and only) graded copy & comes from the Northern Lights collection. Unfortunately I'm broke now & won't be buying anything for a while. Oh well, it's worth it just for the creepy guy in the bottom right-hand corner.

Work has been a bear. I will bump the nominating thread soon and give a little more time for nomination before we start the actual voting. Thanks every one for their patience. That's cool - just wondering. I think it would be great to allow some more time for nominations, since we seem to have gotten a couple of new posters in the last week or so. Nice nomination! I think so many of those pre-hero/non-hero covers get overlooked. Glad to know someone else appreciates them.

That's a great cover: it's got Batman, the Bat-plane, the Bat-mobile & the Bat-signal, all on one cover!

We'll see. I like the New Adventures & non-hero Adventures more than any of the New Comics, so I probably won't go after any of them until I've acquired a good chunk of the later books. Another consideration is $$$ - I'm broke-as-a-joke after those latest three books. I'll probably be slowing way down as far as buying for a while. Sorry that it's belated, but congrats on your big purchase!

Outstanding! So how many do you have now? Are you going to do the entire run? I only have 8 issues so far. I just posted a pic in the Group Shot thread. I'd love to have the run, but it's almost impossible. I'm just picking up a book here & there when I can.
