  1. Three more New Adventures arrived today: #16: Not a very "adventurous" cover, but it's the highest-graded copy & used to belong to Ghost Rider himself! #19: With a nice Flessel cover. #29: Another great Flessel cover. The colors are wonderful in person (my scanner does a horrible job).
  2. I'm waiting for a huge, previously unknown GA collection to (magically) appear on my doorstep, but it ain't gonna happen! I was going to pull the trigger on a Jumbo 99 a while ago - nice book!
  3. You're welcome - thanks for taking it as a trade for that sweet New Adventure. BTW - I have another copy up on Ebay right now.
  4. Thanks - I also love the dark green tone. Don't worry - my copy is safe & sound. "No comics were injured during the making of this clock".
  5. Thanks to ajaxfarrell for the clock featuring one of my favorite GA covers of all time. (BTW - the clock is perfectly round. It appears odd-shaped because it doesn't fit side-to-side on my scanner).
  6. I love gorilla covers! I've never seen that one before.
  7. he does it again!!! If I get a couple more, it may qualify for a group shot.
  8. Came home from work & had this beauty waiting for me.
  9. I refuse to get ensnared in that mess of a thread.
  10. I think you're onto something. Take a close look at #36-39. I think it's the same character featured on the cover in all of them. #36 & #39 certainly have the same guy. He's wearing the exact same clothes & boots on both covers. Maybe they show his adventures in the jungle & his eventual (in #39) demise.
  11. I never really noticed that before, but I think you're right. They all have a similar style & they all also feature a jungle-themed cover. Good catch.
  12. I've never seen this thread before, but it's already one of my favorites! Again, this one is contested, but since the label says Flessel, I'll throw it in here:
  13. That has to be the best Hitler cover, period! Too bad I just bought another New Adventure, or I'd have money to go after that book! Nice score.
  14. Hey no worries - I remember when I posted it that a couple people thought he might have been mistaken. After all, it was 70 years ago. But your info confirms what he told me. I wonder if CGC will change their label - my copy says "Creig Flessel cover"
  15. Thanks for the confirmation. I originally posted the bit about Flanagan a couple months ago in this thread. I sent Flessel a scan of my #37 & wanted to know if he did cover recreations. He gave me the same info. Looking forward to your full report of the visit with him!
  16. Chris - that's a great book I've never seen before.
  17. It's interesting to compare your list against Gerber. He lists #13 as a "10", but he has #27 as a "7". That would mean there's 21-50 copies of #27 out there. I doubt that. I know of a (very expensive) #13 that's available, but I've never seen a #27 for sale that I can remember. Good work again! Thanks for the list.
  18. Where did you get such lovely books? S Hmmm....think "Superman".
  19. I've wanted to see that too. RHG - you have the full run, correct?
