  1. Sweet. A lot of those Nedor's have very "busy" covers. That's a nice simple one. (Of course I love them all)
  2. Thanks! I've always been into ashcans & other rarities/oddities, but I think I've finally fallen in love with a mainstream title.
  3. Are you guys going to make me single-handedly keep this thread going? Here's two more Flessel-cover New Adventures that came in today: #20 which has really nice colors (despite my less-than-great scanner), and #31 which is the last issue with "New" in the title.
  4. Nice! The seller had that listed on Comiclink (in fact, it's still on there). Also, Metropolis has the other CGC 6.5 copy (the "D" copy) on their site. I've had my eye on that for a while. Sweet pick up!
  5. Kudos to Sid, lookwhoitis & Buck Biggins for being my only three sales during the recent VCC. Hey guys - please, please, take more moderns off my hands!!!
  6. Well I guess I'm the oddball. I'd go with #28 because I love the pre-hero covers of Detective, Adventure, More Fun, etc. There's so many hero covers & very few non-hero ones. Just my opinion, even though they're both very cool.
  7. What do you mean holding it? I wanted that book & I'm able to pay now! (no holding )
  8. Yes - SOLD! I notice that 2 of those aren't in the Guide...is that not unusual for promos? STEVE Sweet! I hope he enjoys them!
  9. Thanks. Hey I like the new avatar. One of these days I'll come up with one. Although, I kinda like the Easter Island guy. Does your dad want 9 CGC copies?
  10. Reminds me of something I just bought.....
  11. Wow, just saw this book... its freaking beautiful!! I don't recall ever seeing that cover... I love the simplicity. Hard to find, from the sound of your post?? Well done JJBEE2001!! Thanks! I also like the fact that the cover isn't overdone or crowded. It's been hard to find for me. Gerber lists it as a 6, but I seriously can't see 50-200 copies out there. Either that or everyone who has one is simply hoarding it (like I'm going to do).
  12. Where does he keep finding these wonderful Adventures!! I have the whole series in the attic. I just pull a new one every now & then to irritate you.
  13. Hey Sid - buy my Red Sonja's! I need $$$ to pay for that.
  14. I can definately live with it. It's one of those books where you don't get to choose between copies, but you buy any copy you see available. I really know nothing about restoration. I looked the book over very closely & I can't spot where any of the work was done. I can't even tell where the most obvious one (spine split) was done. I hope to be posting some more Adventures in the near future. My favorite early DC title, hands down!
  15. I'd never think to look at it that close, but good catch Adam!
  16. It finally came today. This issue hasn't been posted in this thread yet. It's one of 3 graded copies & ranks #2 (behind the 9.2 Church copy - Peter, is it safe to assume you've got that one??? ). Gerber rates this as a "6" (50-200 copies). I seriously doubt that it's that common. I've had my eye out for a year & this was the first one I saw. I just can't get enough of those Flessel covers.
  17. Arrived today. My first PLOD!! Kidding - I wish I could have found an unrestored copy, but after a year of looking for a copy, I had to jump on this while I had the chance:
  18. I couldn't agree more. I think I'd collect funny animal books before I started collecting Archies.
