  1. I guess we have been accustomed to always seeing high and even higher sales from the last one in that grade everytime an AF 15 is up for sale. But the reality of it all is that AF 15 is still doing very well. 2-3 years ago, a copy would sell for a lot cheaper than what it is now, even with this pullback in prices. Just because 2 years ago the book just was like a hot potato selling for record prices doesn't mean it is a major slump now. It's still performing well. There will always be supply for AF 15 unless you get up into the higher grades where it gets rare. But anywhere from 0.5-7.0 we can most likely see a copy or two up for sale every year.
  2. really? I hadn't heard about this sale. me neither.. Please tell me more!!!
  3. I was very surprised as well! I thought it would end at around $35k.. Looks like a price correction is happening.
  4. Unbelievable! $815k for the Action 1 Action 7 - $70,555
  5. It's a darn beautiful copy for its grade. I understand the high bidding price, it makes sense to me.
  6. I also used to own a Batman #13 double cover CGC 9.4
  7. I used to own that Tec 48 double cover. Bought it from the original owner. Graded out as 1st cover 7.5, interior cover a 8.0.
  8. Speaking of FF 45, there is really no comparison between FF 45 and FF 48. FF 48 is so much of a bigger key and is probably in the top 3 most important FF book out of the whole run. It was undervalued back then, now it is starting to realize its significance in the marketplace. I doubt prices will go down on this book.
  9. High grade DC's have been heating up across the board (not just SC #4 or #22) but because supply is so sparse a small demand quickly equals an uptick in price. I have no idea what this book will sell for but I wouldn't be surprised if it did well at auction. It is a highest graded copy of a legitimately tough book and a it is a DC key. Yeah, I'm curious as well as to how the book will do in auction. I have no idea as well on what it will hammer. Yes, the book is a DC key, but I wouldn't put it in Tier 1 keys which I have reserved for SC 4, 22, and B&B 28 for DC SA only.
  10. Yes it is strange. But, at least we received them a week or so before auction ends
  11. I've been receiving emails to the links up to Session 3 of the event auction I believe.
  12. I agree on this too. Edited 11 hours ago by sho I as well in agreement. There's just no real demand for this book. Not quite desirable compared to other SA keys. My opinion of course. I'd rather put that $ on major Marvel SA keys or a SC 4 or 22.
  13. I won the Human Torch 6 and a movie (The Thing From Another World) lobby card. Cool and congrats! Hope the book looks even better in person.
  14. Yeah :(. Really nice display too. Will catch your eye as you walk by. So if he does sell a book from one of his photo binders, does he have the book physically in hand or does he need to ship it out to the buyer?
  15. I don't doubt it at all. Look what happened to the Weiss Tec 29. Pressed and gonna be flipped in the next Heritage auction.
  16. It's the consignor's fault in the 1st place. They decide where and when they want to sell their stuff.
  17. Maybe lol. But ya not the best venue to sell comics is tops that's for sure.
  18. I regret not being able to meet him at any of the SDCC . Just always busy roaming around the booths and buying exclusives all day every day. And whenever I'd stop by his booth he was either not present at the time or was conversing with others.
  19. Well you can also factor in the low eye appeal on it too. Probably another reason why it sold for "cheaper." The dust shadow is a distraction for me at least.
  20. If I had the money, I would be bidding aggressively on the Hakes copy. Sold for cheaper than what I expected. Anyone win anything? What do you guys think of the other sale prices of the book - Action 7, MF 52, Cap 3?
  21. ComicLink has always been Aces for me. I've bought and sold books through their website without any problems. When it comes to selling, if you list your book at the Exchange with your buy it price, you may have to sit a while for you to either have a sold it at your buy it price or a good enough offer price unless you have a book that is priced below fmv then of course that would get swooped up fast. Or you can consign it to their upcoming auctions with no reserve and sell it right away.
