  1. Do you think ebay was the wrong choice of venue to sell these mega keys? Or does it have something to do with auction fatigue? I personally think it's a factor of both.
  2. Maybe.. Suddenly, there are several AS 8 and WW 1 copies up for sale on ebay. But still no Sen 1. Talk about market flooding all at the same time. A few copies from Pristine. WOw!
  3. Seems like the Sen 1 sold too low compared to AS 8. It sold for more than half of what the AS 8... Looked like a bargain to me.
  4. Around 13 min left with the current bid at $750k+
  5. Mmmmm..... white pages... lovely 5.0 congrats!
  6. Now up to $81k. No stopping the Man of Steel!
  7. Yes! You guys can sell a pre-robin tec or two to me so you can get your AF 15 at this price range
  8. If ever I'd have to buy a signature on a vintage book, it would need to be in an interior page at the bottom or top margin where it does not detract from the panels.
  9. Do you really want to find out in person if I'm a guy or girl But yeah, it seems that a lot of collectors (including myself) frown upon vintage key books with any type of signature on the book. I personally do not like it and hate it when there is one. Only exception maybe to it would be a Bob Kane, Siegel/Shuster autos.. Now those are hardly ever to come by.
  10. Exactly what I originally thought, a modern book. It would be impossible to find an original 1937 Tec #1 in 9.0 or higher let alone 8.0.. Probably non-existant! The highest grade copy is a mere 6.5.
  11. My guess is that the book is an original Tec 1 in a modern age holder. Just dunno how much squeezing of the book into the holder will be.
  12. Ahh! Young guy! Never seen how he looked. What a nice photo op for him.
  13. My 1.0 is just as nice looking as the one up
  14. I'm interested as well. Book sold for $43,505 last time.
  15. I agree with the long time members here that Sen 1 is the rarest book out of the three. Just take a quick look at all the auction sites and you will see more AS 8 and WW 1 for sale than Sen 1. In fact, I do not see one copy of Sen 1 for sale publicly except for the HG one on ebay. Last public sale for a Sen 1 may have been the CGC 5.0 on CL that sold for $30k. Here are my predictions: AS 8 - $1.075 mil Sen 1 - $889k WW 1 - $625k
  16. waaFirst major book I bought too was an AF 15 CGC 5.0 with some chipping. Was so happy and nervous at the same time waiting for the book to be delivered to me. Paid a paltry 2500 and I was around 22.
