  1. I don't understand how this auction is still up. I would think it would be taken down by now..
  2. I'm starting to believe that the owner had already talked to a resto. expert about removal and likely advised to leave the book as is due to the brittleness of the paper and/or it would significantly damage the book if removal is attempted.
  3. The Promise Tec #43 sold for $2,383. Previously sold for $1,800. A win for the consignor
  4. A little over $90k for the CSS #22 CGC 9.4 . PCH books getting a lot of respect!
  5. Possibly, but we are unable to reveal if the winning bidder did really in fact have a higher max bid. Only ones who know are the winning bidder themself or CL. The winning bid stood there for what 3-4 days? To me it makes more sense, with all that time remaining, to just bid the next increment up until you are the highest bidder and then play it out in the final few minutes and seconds of the last day. There was plenty of time for anyone to toss a bid up and see what happens. A great deal to the winner that's for sure!
  6. Yes. Just need to refresh a few seconds after the final hammer price as it gets automatically calculated in.
  7. Oh so you paid $35k for your copy and upset that current values for 6.5's right now is around $90k. That's a good profit if you were to sell now.
  8. It's true. That series holds one of the holy grails for baseball cards - 1952 Mantle!
  9. You win some, you lose some. Still that price the 6.5 sold for is right around 2020 values I believe
  10. In a preview video done by Vinny Z for this event auction, there was a Superman 1 CGC 2.0 shown on there. I wonder if that book somehow became the 1.0 currently up for grabs? Or did the consignor decide to take it down due to the 3 copies up? From the short preview of that book, it sure looked one helluva a nice copy.
  11. Looks like we got a fake copy on ebay right now. Xerox covers? I don't even know if the interior is real.. https://www.ebay.com/itm/374559420814?hash=item57357b318e:g:DtMAAOSwck9kDaDF&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAAwPXQ0fBr4XAEQRPLsCmj7S6jH3J6Awg7pFfPNxJ25%2Bs4QPDKb2kJNNmduRt%2FyxCbqukdVV56yc1P0SGfZtqDvfukR6yhafRbt2y5V1aTKpnOjop6Wi3LXUfsMfy82EtV6210nG5S2I%2F%2BAzMG7qTQHvGhOQQ6ytPKXN1wDMUkKcaloX7qrqfk9i0j5AcbEvveVL4MeAsYGMfPIoi0Vz3%2FYkkSq6XFSWOCrMBxsUdxMQ0cXBtzyVrZPDoJ7Cpasng8RQ%3D%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR9zX4-PbYQ
  12. Can you please re-take this picture. It's so blurry that it's hard to see. Thanks!
  13. Holy moly! I wonder how much that person spent to get all those autographs!!!
  14. Or that cockroach or I meant spider he drew with marker on the cover of an ASM #129 - priceless!
  15. Similar vibes when someone pays say $15k for a direct edition copy of ASM 300 vs $4k for a newsstand copy. The thrill of owning a "rare" modern book with a stupid barcode over Spidey's face - priceless
  16. One of my all time favorite books and superhero character
  17. Any SA book is easy to find and replaceable in most grades. Hence why values dropped big.
  18. Not really. White pages are fairly common for this book. Same with JIM 83, FF 5, and others. Shouldn't be getting much of a premium at all. Now AF 15 in white pages is rare and in my opinion should get a nice bump in value.
