  1. IGS or also known as Investment Grading Scammer . I've read something about them from a few people who posted their experiences with this new grading company claiming that they created multiple ebay accounts to shill bid their own graded items and that it is only one person running the company. Reminds me of PGX in a way.... Yea, I'm in the camp too that VHS sealed tapes as an "investment" is more like a pump and dump. I feel that there's a group of people who are taking advantage of the whole collectibles movement craze and now hyping VHS sealed tapes as great investments. I wonder what's next on the hype train? Laser disks, pogs, bottle caps? Why not have the return of Beanie Babies too!
  2. Article contains a list of valley comic book shops back in the 90's. Brings me back some memories https://www.latimes.com/archives/la-xpm-1994-08-05-va-33288-story.html
  3. There was a store back in the late 90's/early 2000's called Brave New World of Comics close to Chatsworth High. That was my favorite store to go to at that time.
  4. There is a 5.0 Cap 1 too in that auction if you wanna save millions of $
  5. I like to gamble too, but unfortunately, I gambled my copy away
  6. Absolutely! Especially with the fake Stan Lee auto
  7. Gotta put in my big boy diapers and MANNUP for this auction
  8. Or perhaps the book is cooling off after its meteoric rise starting in late 2020/early 2021. I believe X-Men #1 was the first major silver age key that began the rising in market values with the rest followed after.
  9. I ain't paying that much if I can't even smell the page
  10. Looks like the winner of the Action 1 rocket copy is publicly known: Owner of Goldin Auctions
  11. It's a coin flip. Both are excellent books to own.
  12. CC flexing back at the other auction houses. Seems like a few more old time collectors are cashing out of the hobby? Excellent time as sellers, not too good for buyers
  13. I'll take all offwhite and offwhite-white page book for a large discount compared to what white paged copies go for now.. People who have been in this hobby for long know that page quality is subjective and is not an exact science. The CGC grader(s) can flip flop calling a book offwhite or offwhite-white or offwhite-white or white. Happened to me a few times when I re-submitted books.
  14. All it took for me was an email and after a few days got my book shipped overnight.
  15. How did this guy get wealthy? Still scratching my head...
  16. The actual stamp that is included with the book pushed it up another mil. Weee
  17. Or this.. For those who have been in the hobby for years, it's like we are the people looking to see what is happening in front of our eyes
  18. Tons of new money coming in whether new collectors, investors, speculators, what have you. I've been seeing such a huge surge in collectors from different avenues in collectibles coming into the comic book market. Whether they are card collectors, watch collectors, art, video games, etc. Times a changing right now so strap on your seatbelt. Who knows if this will last...
