Even if the sale is an outlier which I also believe it is, the trend is pointing up for this book which has fallen behind the other top 5-10 major GA keys in my opinion. So it has some catching up to do

There's a pic in Heritage when it was a 9.0

Yep it's the Pay Copy which got an upgrade from a 9.0 to now a 9.2.

For collectors, it really doesn't matter whether a movie/tv show is made for that character. It's all about the book and its importance. For speculators, it's the opposite because they're in it for the profit margin. I knew that TOS 39 was undervalued since the beginning of the year when all the rest of the SA major keys rose up in value, so I managed to pounce on one before the potential upward trend. I love the book and the cover to me is easily a top 5 in this era based solely on keys.

Luckily I have a copy that is locked-up in my collection

WW Comics sold a nice 4.5 today for $15,500. Seems the book is on 🔥 still

Yeah, I won't be heading down this year. First time I'm going to be missing SDCC since the day I started going to this show since around 2007

Good luck with the grade! Hopefully it can grade the same at the very least . Sure looks better than a 6.0, but restored copies are kinda tricky to grade correctly.
