  1. Selling this beautiful copy of Amazing Spider-Man CGC 5.5 Universal with offwhite-white pages. Copy looks fantastic for its grade with a very clean spine and the reds on this book are deep and rich! Normally, the reds especially on Spidey are orangey in color or faded. The CGC slab is in excellent condition with no cracks or any defects. Asking: $23,000 Shipping is free in the U.S.A., only shipping locally due to the high value. I accept PP, Zelle, Venmo, Checks, or M.O. Time payments available upon request with a 20% non-refundable down payment. I accept a 3 day return policy if you are not satisfied as long as it is returned in the same condition, buyer pays for return shipping and handling costs. No HOS'ers or members from the probation list please. Any other questions, please ask. Thanks!
  2. I dunno. I don't think we've seen both covers of a Superman #1 sell, at least not in a very long time. I personally wouldn't pay that much even if I had a complete coverless copy.
  3. That was a steal of a price! It went so low because not a lot of people were in the know about that auction site, including myself. Watch for that book to be back up for sale soon at a higher price.
  4. This is probably an Ask CGC question. I've never seen a page encapsulated with a facsimile cover. It's usually coverless copies that are either complete or missing some pages.
  5. What makes it even weirder is that the original certification 270blah is up on CGC, so I don't know what Goldin could have been referring to about a new cert#, or why you couldn't pull it up before. Here's the original cert. https://www.cgccomics.com/certlookup/2707935001/ Looks like CGC corrected that mistake because when I checked before, it had no grade assigned nor grader's notes. Very strange why Goldin said that the book was re-holdered with a new certification number (4236253005), which was provided to me in an email.
  6. Damn sweet looking books Lou, congrats!!! I would definitely have those books as part of my collection long term.
  7. The recent beautiful CGC 8.0 copy sold on CL for $258k. When I checked the grader's notes, unfortunately there was some staple rust migration into the centerfold. Doesn't show on the book, but it seems minor. This sale is higher than the avg sale price back in 2020, but lower in 2021. So, it looks like we're right on track.
  8. Yeah that poop stained copy was a major eye sore. I think I estimated it around $200k max
  9. I saw a PL 17 CGC 2.0 "unrestored" sell for $11k at a live IG sales stream. The reason why I placed unrestored in quotes is because it had a lot of color touch removal on the spine and mid front cover
  10. I might be in the minority here, but I believe there is an ever nicer copy than the Punch 12 CGC 8.0 that sold. I wonder if there is a copy in BZ's collection? . If I had a lot of money to spend on a Punch 12, I definitely would not have gone that high of a bid. If a higher graded copy surfaces, that would literally kill the value of the Crowley copy I think. Too much risk for that price point.
  11. Yeah Bat 1's went for less than expected. The Cap 1 2.0 was slightly above my expectations. I had it at around $85k tops. The Superman 1 CGC 1.5 sold for a strong price @ $176k. Last 1.5 was last month for around $130k I believe. The Action 1 and Punch 12 stole the show with way above my expectations. I think the last time the Punch 12 Crowley sold for was $55k before this new sale.
  12. I checked the CGC certification # on that Goldin 9.2 book and it is not showing up. I emailed Goldin about it and they told me it was reordered with a new cert # which they provided me. When I checked it out, it doesn't show the grade nor any notes associated with the book. Very weird...
  13. Yup! And after knowing that someone jumped on it quick at $12k when there is an option for a best offer, there's always the possibility he will resist for an even higher buy price. But anyways for me, the biggest red flag is the seller himself. No other listings other than the cover. Also no recent history of selling anything at all. Lastly, his last sale was a month ago on maybe just 1 item based on his feedback card. There's that possibility it could be a hijacked account. Who knows, but we'll see if the buyer gets the cover.
  14. Yup. Who knows, might get relisted again for higher
  15. It's back up for sale. I wonder what happened... https://www.ebay.com/itm/166317864988
  16. I don't think it is a FFE cover because there are the dotted cut-out lines on the back cover, which is not on the FFE. Also the blues for the FFE have a much lighter tone than the original. To me at first glance, the ebay covers seem to be the original from 1939.
  17. Seems like AF 15's are once again rising in value
  18. Very impressive results for this Bobby Blue collection. It definitely exceeded my estimations. The hammer prices at which these books sold for were as if they were Pedigreed books. Reminds me of the Promise Collection during the first time they were auctioned off.
  19. Well, that's why we all had about a month or more to prepare for this auction. I managed to write down the lots I was really interested in and split up them up into 2 columns: w/ 15% BP and w/o 15% BP. With that divided, I would then write down my max for each one with the 15% BP calculated. Once the auction is live, I'm well prepared to bid. It would be easier for bidders if CC would split up the auctions and auction all books with the 15% BP in one or two days and then the following days w/o the BP, but it is what it is.
  20. Is that book really worth that much? I'm not familiar with the data price points for this particular book. Yeah I know it's rare, hardly ever does it come up for sale, but I don't get the appeal of the cover if you ask me. For a Chesler book, I'd rather pay this amount towards a Punch 12.
