  1. I saw the Blue Beetle trailer. Thought it looked like a bootleg Iron Man movie
  2. I also mentioned that I had a hunch that when the values of silver age, bronze, copper, etc would start declining during the bubble burst, golden age books would climb in value. So far it's going as predicted. I'm thinking now that silver and bronze have platued and leveled off. I don't see a huge drastic dip in values like the last year or so. I believe slowly silver will start climbing up gradually, bronze will maybe stay at around these same values and golden age will see a step down from its strong performance from the huge rise beginning with the Promise collection end of 2021.
  3. Anyone else got tracking or their books back recently?
  4. Sometimes scarce books go through periods of relative plenty, when copies are available in seemingly every auction. Marvel 1 was like this years ago, multiple copies changed hands in a short period, copies were repeatedly sold/resold, etc. That book was "common"....until it wasn't. Books eventually find long term homes and disappear for decades and after awhile those "common" issues aren't so common anymore You are absolutely correct that some books come in cycles. I made a post about it a couple years ago I believe also about the Marvel 1 which I counted in the Heritage archives and put out some data on how many copies sold since 2000s. And the cycle was there where during certain period of time, we would see 2-3 copies for sale for a few years and then just 1 copy or less thereafter on average. So we might be seeing this same effect with Supes #1. Again these past few years has been the most amount of copies I've seen this book sell. Hopefully a good majority of the ones that sold land in good home and longer hold times.
  5. I guess my crystal ball worked that time as projected . I was trying to warn everyone on here about what I'm predicting. Hopefully most people listened
  6. With so much Superman 1 copies up for auction/sale the past 2-3 years, it seems that the number of copies sold were more than a Bat 1 or Cap 1. After seeing copy upon copy in practically every event/main auction, this book doesn't seem so "rare" and has definitely changed my perspective of this book in terms of rarity.
  7. Not sure where in the house the books were stored but the original owner placed several books (maybe around 6-8) inside a bag and each bag stacked inside several boxes that kinda looks like those printer paper box with the lid. Most of the books if not all have gone through the pressing, dry cleaning, etc. process.
  8. Can you imagine that if it weren't for the OP who started this thread, who knows if any of the submitters on these boards would at least get their books back!?! This situation is insane!! Glad I never sent any of my books to Hero. There are only a select few whom I would entrust my books with.
  9. Dang what a steal based on the small amount of books that were mentioned. I figured at least $500k, anything less would be a bargain! I don't think they would be able to fork over/ offer a million $ for the collection.
  10. Very sorry Mike to hear about your passing of your mother. My prayers and condolences to you and your fam 🙏
  11. I bet GoldenAgeGuru and ComicTom bought it for a great price if it were only 3 parties who were doing the bidding. If this was auctioned off publicly with Heritage or CC, the owners would've gotten more for the collection.
  12. I'd rather have that than the Supes #1 CGC 7.0 that sold for a $1 million loss
  13. The "small areas of color touch" is very misleading. CGC should really make it a point to distinguish the degree and amount of color touch properly. Some books labeled with small amount of CT have only a couple dots on the spine while others have long black markered areas on the spine and on one of the edges. Huge difference!
  14. So who won the this deal? The guy who received the AF 15 or Bryan who received all those books?
  15. The realized drop in prices is in no surprise to me at all. This is what's expected. Because of the huge gain of GA books, I expected some breathing room. Similar to how SA books are now
  16. I think so far, these sales are more rational and is an indicator that these are what prices should've been like in the first place without all the pumpers, flippers, etc. Getting back to reality practially!
  17. Nice pick-up! I was looking into that copy too but bidding went too high for me
  18. I got a question. Those who submitted their books to Heroes, did you actually read the Terms and Conditions statement? Like were you ok to send both your book(s) and the money to him and risk your $ as non-refundable even if no work is done!? That's just crazy!?
  19. Welcome back to both of ya!! I was wondering where you guys went off to!!!
