  1. If you can't decide which book is better, just get both. I certainly couldnt make up my mind either so I did just that
  2. Yep the scene with Rick and Hershel.... almost made me teary eyed
  3. Hard to give a grade. I've learned that restored books are best graded in person because sometimes you cannot see what areas were color touched or pieces added under a scan, picture, etc. It looks like a NM copy but I'm sure under close magnification, the hidden defects can be seen clearly.
  4. Congrats on the grade!!! Glad the book is all original with no resto.
  5. Hey congrats on the successful press! Matt is one of the best in the biz and I am not at all surprised. Looks way better!
  6. I'm just sick to my stomach after reading what happened to your home and business Rick. I'm sure some of your personal art and collectibles are irreplaceable. I'm wishing you the best in everything from here on out. Be safe out there!
  7. Great classic book to own and love the simple cover. Speaks volumes that is true for its generation.
  8. Well, there goes any future bidding with Heritage. Done completely. Since the sales tax addition to CA was added, I have probably only won a single book which was shipped to my NV home to avoid the taxes. Now that NV will be taxed as well, I think that will be it for me. Glad there are still other reputable auctions I can place bids on (CL, CC, Hakes).
  9. Just came across this thread and your other grading threads. I was half a point under/off when looking through your scans before looking at the final grade. Congrats on all the grades!
  10. Just saw this now and the same sentiments as well like everyone else has shared on here. My thoughts and prayers to you and your family as well and everyone else in the FL region who have been hit hard by the storm. Glad the family is fine, sorry about your home . I'm praying everything else is fine. God bless and stay strong!
  11. Saw the preview when I was watching Venom. Looks very promising. I guess we'll see when it hits theaters. I'll definitely be seeing it on the big screen.
  12. Saw Venom last night and thought it was great as well. My expectations were lowered after reading earlier reviews from RT, but glad it was better than I expected. Hardy was spot on and was probably the only driving force in the whole film, which was expected. Storyline could have been better but it was good enough for me. I enjoyed the fighting scenes and the chases as well. CGI could have been better also with the symbiotes by itself before interaction with the host. Quite a few funny lines as well throughout the film. Overall, I gave it a B+. Oh, since a few mentioned Woody being too old for Carnage, I think another good actor to play Carnage and younger would be Jackie Earle Haley. Natural red-head, played a creepy and dark figure before (Freddy Kreuger), and skinny
  13. Here's my copy with the legendary Jack Kirby signed on the first page. Doesn't get any better than that
  14. Didnt even know CL had a Tec 36 Congrats to the buyer. A definite great buy!
  15. Now where did I put my good ole time machine.. oh wait, Doc Brown is still working on it!?
  16. I attended the show on Saturday. Was very disappointed, barely any GA or SA books, only a few comic dealers that showed up. Sadly, didnt buy anything comic bookwise. Was nice talking to Ed and Cal though in great lengths. Might be the last time I'm attending sad to say.
  17. Yep I usually see Ed and Brad whenever I'm at Long Beach. Best dealers there for vintage comics with best prices for sure. Wow I didnt know prices cost that much! Definitely highway robbery. Glad I'm getting in free
  18. On graders notes I think so also. On the label itself if severe enough it will be mentioned (at least for the older labels). I've seen some books with a bit of rust on the staples and nothing was said on the label.
  19. Grading is subjective so it is a 5.5 in their eyes
