  1. For a while I have thought that fantastic fears 5 and voodoo 8 would make great bookends. Great collection of books.
  2. And a great one to have Marty. I like the dynamic action on that cover.
  3. Congrats Christian, great score! Great book! With condition I find A mylar forgives many sins. And a lower condition book especially one that is hard to find is is still very satisfying.
  4. Anyone win the BB 114 on EBay tonight? Book looked very nice but I am very skeptical that it will pull a 9.0+ with the spine it had. I was under under bidder
  5. Very nice! Looks HG. Do we have any File Copies in this thread?
  6. Love 'em! I owned the Salida Foxhole 4 years ago & sold it for a song What is she doing on the real clue cover? Poisoning someone's cup of tea?
  7. It's getting out of hand. I think entry into the club at a .5 complete is around 5,000$... That is correct. My 0.5 complete listed as restored due to cover trimming was purchased of eBay for a best offer made on a $5000 listing. If you read up though, I was not the purchaser so I do not know the accepted offer. There is zero sign of this book slowing down. The only thing that could change it would be an unexpected find of new issues. I always wonder on a book like this where there are about 2700 slabbed, how many raws are still left. I would hazard at least that many un-slabbed copies left in the wild. There have been extensive threads devoted to estimating populations. From memory Rick said he knows a guy with a long box full of AF15s.
  8. Nope. I identified the key issues. Did also find a rough X-Men 101, but the Iron Man 55 and Xmen 266 were the best of the bunch. However, she did come back tonight with the rest of the books. I was expecting 2 more boxes. Instead she brought this: 10 boxes! There was no way I could look at them outside so I just bought the lot. I told her if I find something crazy like a Walking Dead 1 that I will call her back to give her some more money. Should be fun to go through. I will report back in the next day or two. It's going to take awhile since the boxes are packed. No bags or boards on anything. I thought he was talking about flying Donut's find.
  9. Was it at auction? I can't find it. I think it was on their site for one day, no scan, but it sounded like a nice copy the way they described it. An 8.5ish asking just under $9K. They were asking $9750.00 for an estimated 8.5 file copy. Thanks guys.
  10. Some good ol' Biro mayhem. I love that they have taken the time to have blood splatter on the woman's legs and the injured man's hand and face.
  11. Pretty happy with this one. I might have paid over the odds but it doesn't come up for sale often and is a nice looking copy.
  12. I would it was a good month or maybe for the year! Outstanding month! +1 on scans for the Eagle.
  13. That's a mind blowing group shot of Chesler goodness Jack! Woah! That is a very impressive run to put together and they all look to be in decent shape. Very nice work.
