  1. This is typical of hijacked accounts it exactly fits the modus operandi of the listing which finished a few weeks ago with a Fight Against Crime 20 (which has now been removed from ebay past history sales). The pattern goes something like this: A long inactive account with only recent history of selling one expensive piece of electronic equipment but no books, requires immediate payment with no shipping outside the US and does not respond to any queries. I would bet money that with a bit of trawling you can probably find the pics in an old ebay sale.
  2. Great stuff. Those wings books look to be in great states of preservation. Are the outside edges trimmed?
  3. Man how long did that take you to make? You have done a great job.
  4. Yes, and then he got disillusioned when he started slabbing and getting back some PLODS. Of course, his divorce really disillusioned him. That and Scientology and the I.R.S. And the reviews for his movies. No wonder his head burst into flames! at least it was convenient for the Ghost rider movie.
  5. Very nice. If you ever let them go drop me a line. Would be particularly interested in the Quimby Mouse one.
  6. Nashville. Would have felt bad getting another Hulk 181 in your backyard. Are they in good shape? How about the MS 2?
  7. One can just imagine the discussion between writer and artist. (Writer) "I'm going to need you to anthropomorphise a milking machine". (Artist) "Say what?" Neat book. I really like oddball stuff like this. such a strange cover.
  8. Remember Pearl Harbor issue! Do you know why OSPG designates it a classic cover but CGC does not? You can use the ask CGC section for this. They will usually designate that onto the label if you explain to them your reasoning. I recently asked them to add Classic Nazi Monster cover to my Speed #28 because it had no notes previously and OSPG deemed it as a classic cover. They added it no problem. (thumbs u Thanks Gino I will do that.
  9. Sorry, that was intended more as a comment as we move forward in time and more generations are produced in a period were physical media is being replaced by digital or non physical forms. I was not trying to comment on the health of the hobby or near future outlook. I actually don't buy old comics for their future values (I have property, stocks, etc.) for that but I respect the concerns of those that do. There is a noticeable decline in the interest of physical media happening and how that plays out in the collecting world into the future is anyone's guess. Unless we do away with the corporeal nature of human beings I do not think digital media will have much of an impact. The physical goods still remain relevant cultural artifacts. People still collect snuff boxes avidly and I have never meet anyone who takes snuff. I think people confuse the fact that digital media means we will have fewer hard copy prints now with the desirability of things printed in the past. The two are separate issues and the transition to digital media is at best tangentially related and at most totally irrelevant.
  10. Tough call - sell it to me and remove the dilemma! I had a similar thought If that is the only work done it would be worth removing if you are considering resale. Though if you plan to keep it, the removal may detract from the appearance and it is fine just the way it is right now. So for me the decision to remove or not would depend on what I intended to do with the book.

  12. Try finding a copy for sale, it is near impossible. This book is one for the vault.
  13. Usually my hunt for esoteric GA in VF or higher leaves me disappointed, but not today!! Can't wait to read it.
  14. It was Newark in the 40's...you didn't "elbow" Wise Guys. mm Marty how were the racks organised? By publisher?
  15. Very nice . I have always thought that Law Breakers Suspense Stories 12 is an under appreciated cover (I actually prefer it to 11). Anyone have a Strange Suspense Stories run? All ya gots to do is ask, little brother; Oh how st00pid of me! You wanted to see the Charlton continuation of Lawbreakers SS, and I posted the Fawcett run. Very cool.

  17. also looks unpressed. There is something special about GA books in their natural state. An excellent addition!
  18. Just out of curiosity when prices have fallen in the past did more copies come to market? I would expect supply to shrink as the price drops.
  19. Why is that skeleton driving Wonder Woman's invisible jeep?! Supernatural cover for sure, animated skeleton and use of the word Phantom makes it qualify! (thumbs u
  20. Wow, thanks for sharing. Tough ones in my experience are Fights 3-7, 15 Rangers 2 and 3, 15 Thanks for the input. Those early fight comics have some great art.
