  1. I think some of Ditko's best work was with Charlton. Thing 12, 15 Lawbreakers Suspense Stories 19 (an absolute classic) This Magazine is haunted 16 (excellent cover that is often overlooked) Space Adventures 12
  2. Good, eh eh, cause if you have to ask, it ain't that noticeable. Look at the center of the E in Haunted, on the left edge. Looks to be a tiny bit of blue, and I didn't notice it myself on the book; not until looking at the blown up scan when I posted it here. I might be wrong but that looks like a printing error not CT to me.
  3. Adding in my . What Junk has said here seemed to be clear in the account retro gave. I am not sure what retro is annoyed about.
  4. West you have so much Junq. Time to get rid of some??? That Atlas logo is not one you see often, very cool.
  5. Forgive me if you have already posted RM but do you have a Comedy Comics 22? Or Terry Toons 7?
  6. One of my all time favourite crime books. Great looking copy! A very cool book. Twisty: Is the Headline 8 a new addition to your sig line? Looks like a great copy
  7. Who was i kidding to list only a top 5? Your list is impossible to argue with, A great list West.
  8. Did this one go to a boardie? certainly finished higher than I expected. http://www.ebay.com/itm/TAFFY-Comics-2-rare-WWII-funny-animal-HITLER-cover-L-B-COLE-art-no-rsv-/351435532806?autorefresh=true&nma=true&si=TRJT243t2tMNhbsIMVRMJloYhHM%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
  9. That 7.0 is pretty sweet but when you want the best of the best, let me know... Is that Rich's former 8.5? I don't think I could handle that hideous miswrap.
  10. I forget the issue number but does anyone have the 4-favorties issue with firing squad cover which depicts the act mid-massacre? I think one of the poor victims has his guts shot out.
  11. Any opinions on the most iconic Hitler cover? I think we should exclude CAC 1 as that is a mega key and so its desirability is not from Hitler being on the cover. For my top three I would have, in this order: Real Life Comics #3 Dare Devil Battles Hitler #1 Headline #8 Anyone care to offer their top 10?
  12. Unless, of course, someone else took their book and asked him to do the same thing...
  13. I still have mine!! Here's some scans of it, the photo's I posted a long time ago don't do this book justice. It's the nicest copy I've ever seen in hand/up close. I've been wanting to get it pressed and grade for years now I've just never got around to it. Well I guess I'm more scared that it'll get a bad press job and lower the grade of it. That's probably why I haven't done it yet. It's a beaut! Why mess with it? My thoughts exactly.
  14. I saw a copy about 20 years ago and have never seen one since. Question for you since it's raw, Does it have an ad for the US Jones Members Club inside? Being a guy that collects these as well as the comics themselves, I'd love to see it. It is one of the few comic book premiums I don't have. The kit is just about as rare maybe more so. Hakes Americana sold a complete one years ago and I know of a guy that has just the button who won't turn it loose. US Jones Rocks! Robot man your memory is failing you, I had already checked for you a month or two ago. Looks great HR Costigan, presents very nicely in those pictures. Well done!
  15. Sorry to hear. Maybe try re-subbing to see if they come back at 9.6. Cool books.
  16. That's a really excellent analysis +1 a great post David, eurdite and edifying.
  17. I am pretty sure the 1983 series which hector has above is worth a few hundred in grade. Obviously Primer no# 2 is the big Grendel book.
  18. I like arrival dates on books too. But I like them because it is part of the genuine provenance of the book. It places the collectible in its historical context and adds some depth to the story of the item. For pedigree books especially there is a unique and rare history behind the collection, for someone to come along at a later stage and alter the books defiles that history to me. It is disingenuous, a post fact alteration of a rare item to try and increase its rarity and hence dollar value.
  19. Such a sweet book. I think there will be some buyers turned off by the YL, but there are probably some people even willing to pay more for a sig book. Personally, I would never buy a signed high grade classic. A high grade common, non-ped book I'd have no problem getting signed. Getting the TC 227 9.8 signed is tothemarketdownthestreetforsomeCRAZY (imo) Normally I'd agree but seeing the miswrap on that book I actually don't mind. It is sad someone would do this to a ped copy. Probably just did it for the potential dollars too, which makes it even sadder.
  20. Do not compare to Sartre's post but these are my two most recent additions:
