  1. Yeah I can see the positives. But I think it would be much more diplomatic to try and resolve privately and then if the seller is uncooperative to then post publicly.
  2. +1. I noticed a bit of color touch near the spine (black areas as well as pink clouds) before I read your comment. Did you send a pm?
  3. I do not think it is appropriate. But I had sent the seller a pm before the sale was completed letting him know I thought the book had CT in the clouds. He replied saying he did not think it was restored and then the book sold. I agree that it wasn't appropriate, but since the book was bought by PM, there is no other way to let the buyer know there may be issues. I certainly miss color resto & trimming more than I should, but this book really jumps out as trimmed when compared to other copies. I agree. In this case I was equivocating about posting in the sales thread but someone beat me to it. It would be good to give the seller a chance to respond in more depth before crapping in his sales thread.

  5. That was my thought. As far as mandatory posting an i'll take it in the thread, I haven't bought a book for myself in over two years. When I do purchase, it's usually for a gift and I don't want it known publically. You would be surprised what constitutes an offer and what constitutes a request for more information. In Harvey v Facey [1893] the following was held not to be an offer: Harvey: "Will you sell us Bumper Hall Pen? Telegraph lowest cash price-answer paid". Facey: "Lowest price for Bumper Hall Pen £900."
  6. A great BA book in my opinion. Cool cover, giant size and early appearance of an important character. what is not to like!
  7. wow are they restored they all look very very nice.
  8. What is the drug story in this one like?
  9. HG Peter art is great stuff. Very recognizable, some of those early wonder woman stories are good too.
  10. Hey I recognize you from instagram. Cool to see those books in your sig line. Quite the collection you have. (thumbs u I figured you would be bidding on that one. A very nice addition!
  11. Bumping to get some more copies to come out of the wood works!
  12. Didn't present very well for the grade with those large stains front and back. Plus detached cover.
  13. Since I am already starting multiple threads and bugging people about this book I might as well use it as an opportunity to bump this thread. Anyone else have some contributions. A nice copy of Weird Comics 2?
  14. Atlas T !!!!! ....he who is Atlas Prime !........GOD BLESS.... -jimbo(a friend of jesus) (thumbs u Horror and communism in the one book has made this a very desirable book for me.
  15. I don't understand how did they switch without him knowing?
  16. I gotta' agree. Those books might be rare in grade but surely that can't be the only factor driving price.
  17. ahh, that is the 5K question, isn't it.... and since I specialize in picking these type books up (ie AS 8 I was buying for years before the recent explosion), surely that is one answer /opinion I will keep to myself If you don't mind me asking how many copies of AS 8 do you have? I had 9....sold 8 of them...have bought 2 recently just to have...so 3 total right now...but the huge spreads are "gone" imo Many thanks. After watching the SP copy skyrocket in the recent CL auction they certainly look gone.

  19. Probably true. Less likely is that it will bring out lots of hidden collections. Unlikely I think, this collection sat raw for the last 12-15 years, sold as a lot for purposes of being brought to auction. There are just so few of these complete collections in high grade out there let alone ones stuffed with pedigree copies. you may see odd copies here or there but not complete runs like this IMHO. Is anyone able to update the uninitiated as to where this collection came from?
  20. Yes I had it encased so I could display without worry of damage. Got it from a fellow collector. Super happy with it, and is probably the favorite piece in my collection.
