  1. Not a comic book, but definitely worth a few dancing bananas.
  2. Piketty's Capital is interesting so far. Just finished "console wars" by Blake Harris which I found entertaining but I do not think presents an accurate depiction of history.
  3. It wouldn't hurt to add a few to your "GA Index Fund"..... pick a favorite from each of the titles and diversify..... GOD BLESS... -jimbo(a friend of jesus) (thumbs u I do have a few on my gargantuan PCH list but they are not a focus. That Astonishing 30 makes me want to make them a focus.
  4. Recent posts from all are outstanding. Urge to buy Atlas PCH rising!!!!!!
  5. Excellent choice. His work on Mars Attacks has to be one of most significant contributions of the era.
  6. I got this too. Makes me think part of his modus operandi is presenting books that have nice FCs but some major flaw on the BC and then provides no scans.
  7. I have had several conversations with this seller. He was polite and responded quickly. When I asked some more in depth questions about his history and the history/grade of the books he stopped replying.
  8. Me too. I see a lot of them but they're always the standard version. +2
  9. Looks like a Mexican bootleg figure to me. My thoughts too. The bat symbol isn't surprising if this is true as they often use the same mold for multiple figures and just change the colors.
  10. Don't need to be a SS guy to appreciate that awesomeness.
  11. Your collection of "junk" never ceases to amaze me. Do you have the mad straight jacket?
  12. what a dingus, I thought thrill bidders were to supposed to bid low before the book got into the stratosphere, not bid to win!
  13. +1 There were two on comic connect earlier this year. They both sold pretty fast.
  14. NICE....... Back in the 90's when I was doing shows I had a buddy named Les who helped us out. He collected Silver Surfer 4....... just that book. He'd get one when he saw it.... it really is a powerful book. GOD BLESS... -jimbo(a friend of jesus) (thumbs u That is a nice looking copy. What do you estimate grade to be?
  15. Some hot toys do appreciate in value. It's anyone's guess which ones will. The Hulkbuster looks awesome but I won't spend $900 on one. I'd rather spend it on a Sideshow statue which is more likely to maintain it's value. That's my 2 cents I don't want to make money I just don't want to sell and get 1/10th of my purchase price. Do many depreciate sharply?
  16. Are hot toys statues usually a losing proposition in terms of getting your money back? I can afford to shell out for the Hulk Buster if I can later resell it at my cost but if it is likely to depreciate significantly I am not wealthy enough to spend 1k on a toy.
