  1. Don McGregor did such a great job in this series. Too bad you can't see his work in those slabs ;-)
  2. I have managed to live my life thus far with no regerts at all.
  3. I think it is nicer than some I have seen CGC give 5.5 too so I am comfortable to give it a 6.
  4. major crease -> 3.5. Shame as it looks nicer otherwise
  5. Looks much better, as far as we can tell from those high altitude photos. ;-)
  6. I thought a major crease like this would take it to 3.5
  7. It's either him or another Wong... in which case two Wongs make it right.
  8. 2.5 due to cover detached at staple. Congrats on getting this book!
  9. The creases put it to 3.5 but otherwise presents as 4+
  10. I am interested in why you gave that score for a book that is soiled/tanned like that. I have a copy that I bought new; it has been bagged and boarded ever since then but looks just like this one. I did not know what grade to give it as I did not know how that browning would have affected the grade.
  11. Sounds like this is a job for ,,, @Math Teacher ;-)
  12. It's because your state does not want to miss out on those sweet tax dollars. Maybe you should move to Oregon ;-)
  13. I also go for 2.5. Too good for 2 but too many defects for 3.
  14. 5.5 I would be interested to see what it looks like after it is cleaned, i.e. how effectively they can fix it up. Can you post photos after the c&p but before slabbing (if you do get it slabbed).
  15. 2.0 also. Well done! Also to your younger self for being restrained on the application of tape. I have several SA books that would be graded 8+ if the OO had not applied tape to all 4 sides of front and back covers.
  16. MCS wants to charge me over $90 to send ONE book to AUS! This does not count import taxes that trans-shippers would also charge. In comparison it cost me ~US$20 to send a shipment to a US boardie.
