  1. There is a possibility in is stuck in Customs. I had a shipment recently that I thought was lost. Tracking info was lost by USPS. It turns out that it was in Customs but they did not bother to send out a snail mail notice for a month! Still, that was under the 3 month grace period. Ask them what evidence they actually have that it is in Customs. I think Customs would hold it only if the declared value was over $1k - easy enough to clear that now the A$ is tanking again.
  2. Did you or they take out insurance on the package? FWIW, I bought some items from MCS that didn't turn up. (The package was tracked to Hong Kong airport then never got any further). MCS said to wait 3 months, they would take it up with the shipper who after another month paid via insurance. So kudos to MCS for great service. And I would say 4 months is long enough for you to be patient.
  3. @Math Teacher - congrats. What did you find was the best method to sell off your excess books? I am thinking I should sell off most of my BA books and magazines but wonder if it would be worthwhile.
  4. Just to help out Solar Boy here... for those who have not read it and FWIW, I think this is the best FF issue of the '70s.
  5. Who would have guessed from looking at #104 that Paste Pot Pete would become so valuable on a comic cover only 6 books later.
  6. Maybe not that many... Is the market thread rate going down?
  7. Thanks but would you mind to do the same close-up shots as in your original post? This would help to see the corrections better.
  8. Congratulations! Can you post close-up pics, especially of potential defects that others have already pointed out, and especially of the back cover please? It would be interesting and instructive to see how many of these were corrected by the CGC C&P people, and if they weren't fixed what is allowable for a 9.2 grade.
  9. No-one here is going to tell you don't get a C&P. If you have had this book for the best part of 50 years, what's another few months' wait to get that done? I am with @James J Johnson on the merits of this book and think it would get a 7.5 with a nice C&P
  10. Tough crowd. It's in great condition and worth a VF/8.0 imho
  11. The only Marvel horror story that I recall that is worthwhile is Neale Adams' "One hungers". I didn't remember which of their crappy titles had that so looked it up. You can get a copy from MCS for under $10
  12. Me too - and the other sold books. It's hard here with a ~12 hour time zone difference.
  13. Mostly just the one to respond to the notification to read your post.
  14. That is my recollection at the time. Back in the '70s I had the opportunity to buy AF15 or ASM1. I couldn't afford ASM1 so got the AF15 as a consolation.
