Just got back from the Post Office and this Beauty was in the box. One of my favorite BA Spidey covers.

Thanks Joe and Larry, Larry the # 57 is easily one of my favorite covers of the bunch. Great books you posted on the previous page and that GIC 128 is a Beauty along with your OAAW 235 and SSWS 179. Nice pick-ups!! (thumbs u That G.I. Combat # 49 that Jeffro posted is unbelievable. Nice book Jeff. (worship) :applause: What? No love for my pretty Sgt Fury?? Sure my scanner makes it look a little dingy but it's a beaut, sweet Severin artwork to boot. Kidding Fay, thanks for the kind words Larry, you're right that is a sweet Sgt Fury and I was going by memory from your post and just forgot about it. I sold my entire Sgt Fury collection of about 60 books on e-bay about a year ago and I don't want to start collecting that title again. The Severin art is outstanding and I find there is too much dialogue in their stories, IMO.

I figured you had to be in there somewhere Andy and I was shocked to win that many.( not like Keith's auctions ) I had never seen that SSWS 49 before and I instantly fell in love with that cover and would have gone higher. No worries Tats (thumbs u It isn't the first book I've over paid for and it won't be my last war book I pay too much for...or did I Like Shep always says, "All's fair in love, war and war books."

Sounds good to have a few War Book sales around here. (thumbs u My haul from Brent's latest auctions arrived today. The photo like the next one doesn't do the book justice with bright beautiful green colors and the # 79 has shiney yellow colors. The only graded copy in the Census and from the River City Pedigree. I couldn't be more pleased and although each book is around Fine condition they look a lot nicer to me. That Brent gentleman sure knows how to grade. Thanks again Brent, (worship) fay

I know the feeling and I'm having trouble finding a decent copy of 202. Actually any copy above VF+ for that matter. Jeffro, I forget to ask you how was that NM DC Special series 13 you ordered? I bought a mid grade book from them and it was graded fairly accurate. How is their NM grading? In my opinion, it wasn't NM. I'll buy mid grade reading copies but I don't think I'll ever buy anything HG from them. I've heard that about them before. Sorry to hear it. That seems like a tough book to find also,althouth I've only been looking since I seen your scan. One will turn up.

WOW!!! Shep, Those books are incredible and I love the 110 and 174. You sure have some sweet books.

It's a Beauty Mick and a Salida copy too. The red color is amazing. I wish I could say I bought a book 20 years ago. That book is awesome.

Right now I have about 1350 comics and growing every week. The breakdown would be around : 30 % SA 50 % BA 15 % CA 05 % MA Only 30 slabs and I would have more if I could figure out a way to read them. Only joking and I would eventually like to get my favorite books in Slabs 9.2 or above with any luck.

That's because Mick is a king! I still whisper a little 'thank you' to him whenever I snap that book out of the mylar. In my now 8 years back into collecting, I've seen maybe one other nice copy come along on that book - besides these two. Shep I wish I had one of his duplicates to whisper to. And I agree that Mick is King!!
