  1. My 2 open ME Submissions and 1 open Reholder have not moved from SFG in the last 2 weeks. Is anyone else seeing any activity in ME submissions? Thx,
  2. +1. CGC has made it clear they want these types of defects declared via entering an ME order within 14 days of receipt by you. It is a relatively smooth process. You'll create a CGC order as a mechanical error and you'll enter the barcode # of the slab(s) in the entry process. CGC will remove it from the current slab and place it in a new slab. The new slab may or may not be defective (including more of the scuffing you and Sigur Ros have been discussing). I've sent slabs back up to 3 times until I felt the slab was acceptable. Make sure you declare the value of the book based on the new 7.0 grade. I like to take images of the book and the defects (you have good images of the defects) in case the book gets damaged in re-encapsulation (as mentioned, this is a risk) or there are questions about whether the slab is defective enough. "How long...", well it typically seems to happen a bit quicken than the reholder process. The last 2 ME orders I've gotten back took about a month round-trip. However, I have 2 others that are still outstanding which were received by CGC on 2/7 and 3/17 so they seem to be somewhat backed up at the moment. CGC seems to have made a decision to err on the side of shipping slabbed books with noticeable defects and dealing with the MEs that come back as opposed to intense screening for noticeable slab defects during the QC process. This requires you as the customer to be prepared to QC your books and to be prepared to send back defective slabs as MEs. If you plan on dealing with CGC on an ongoing basis, you should get used to creating and shipping ME orders.
  3. @Tcarroll17, You Are NOT Alone!! At getting slabs back with scuffs inside OR being frustrated by this!! I've gotten a number of such slabs back since Summer '22, and I've sent the vast majority back as MEs.

  5. My experience is the same as J Bill's. If I switch my phone Chrome browser to Desktop mode and refresh, I see my expected submissions. Just turning my phone landscape does not cause my submissions to display. When I turn Desktop mode off, submissions no longer appear.
  6. So I access the CGC Submission Tracking page on my android phone and also on my PC. When I reload the page on my phone, I get no submissions. When I reload the page on my PC, I see all of my submissions within the 16 months. On my phone, I can see all of my packing slips, but not any submissions.
  7. Yes. I'm not getting a spinning wheel; the page quickly loads with no submissions listed.
  8. I have a 6 book ME that was received on 2/7 and a 3 book reholder received on 1/23 that are both SFG. I had a 25 book ME that was received on 2/3 that was shipped back to me 2/28. I do think larger ME orders are processed quicker.
  9. Actually, I used different words than "Yikes"...

  14. So, just for kicks, I went to my packing slips and opened the pending slip for the 25 books that I keep getting an error on. I confirmed the books, return and billing addresses, reentered my credit card information, and submitted... Your order has been completed successfully! ... and it went through.

  16. To be specific, when I connect to a url with host boards.cgccomics.com (CGC forum) with my Windows PC (I don't see this with my android phone or tablet), I receive 4 messages in quick succession that a connection is being blocked. When I look in the BitDefender activity log, it shows me 4 instances of the message in my quote. I only see this when I initially connect to the forum; if I navigate within the forum there are no other messages.
  17. I'm also still having issues. Normally I use Chrome (PC); I tried submitting the order with Edge. When it failed, I deleted my initial order and cleared my Edge browser cache. Then I reentered the ME. Coincidentally, my order was also 25 books... But that shouldn't have anything to do with the address.
  18. ...but it failed this afternoon! I'm trying to create a mechanical error order (I documented this in the QC at CGC thread...) this afternoon. I've entered my books, my address, return shipping address, credit card info and billing address. Addresses are all the same and in the US. I keep getting the message "There was an issue with your Inbound Shipping information. Please review your information here and try again." Is anyone else having this problem, or successfully creating a CGC order (ME or otherwise)? Thanks,
  19. @CGC Mike, when I connect to cgccomics.com (using chrome browser), I sometimes get these warnings from my security software (BitDefender). I'll get a few messages when I initially connect, and then it stops. It's happened a few times recently. chrome.exe attempted to establish a connection relying on an expired certificate to www.angryapecomics.com. We blocked the connection to keep your data safe since websites must renew their certificates with a certification authority to stay current, and outdated security certificates represent a risk.
  20. My second submission had 23 books and 23 books will be returned as mechanical error. All 23 books have significant newton rings in the front center of the slabs. 19 have significant newton rings in the back center. There are some other issues... The encapsulator must be really gifted. There was no QC seal on the invoice. Amazing Spider-Man 70: 1" debris front corner (upper left in image) and 2 1/2" x 2" newtons front and back (not photographed). Fantastic Four 50: 3 square inch newton rings in front and back center. Tales of Suspense 69: 2 square inches front newtons and 1 1/2 square inches back newtons. X-Men 17: 2 1/2" square inches of newtons front and back center. X-Men 23: 2 1/2" square newton rings front center & 2" x 3" newton rings back center. X-Men 27: 3 square inches newton rings front center & 3" x 2 1/2" newton rings back center. That's All FolK!! Thanks for coming out! Drive home safely!
  21. I recently received 2 submissions back after several months. I want to document some issues with the 1st submission in this post, and then I'll do a post for the 2nd submission. The 1st submission had 25 books, 8 books will be returned in an ME. There was no QC seal on the invoice. Amazing Spider-Man 36: 2" square Newton Rings in center of front and back cover. Also Red Debris Back Bottom Right. Amazing Spider-Man 51: Black piece of debris on gun handle (sorry I didn't paste it upside down...). Amazing Spider-Man 60: 1/2" piece plastic debris in "MAKE MONEY GET PRIZES" Amazing Spider-Man 69: Front Center scuffs and newtons (1 1/2" x 1 1/2") doesn't show very pronounced in my image (Newtons not at all). Back center newtons 1 1/2" x 1 1/2"
  22. I had a 48 book order of economies broken into 2 submissions (25 & 23) which were submitted on my behalf by a presser. These were delivered to CGC on 4/11/22 and received by CGC 4/14/22. Both submissions shipped back to me yesterday 1/12/2023. Sorry I jumped in front of a few people... Interesting that the shipments are coming back FedEx. I thought that submissions submitted before the FedEx changeover would ship back USPS registered. But so far I've been pleased with FedEx delivery of comics to me.
