  1. I'm assuming everyone will stay away from the one's in Heritage's Signature Auction.
  2. Got this one for several hundred below guide. That shows you that guide is wrong on a lot of these books, if there are even two or three high grade copies.
  3. That's a great book!!!!!!!!! I don't have a book from that pedigree, so it's on my want list.
  4. VF+ eye appeal on a FN/VF (CGC 7.0) book. Excellent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. Just picked up this one. Don't normally collect this title but liked the cover.
  6. PM when you get it back. Looks like a solid VF copy from the front. The large scan makes some of the spine wear look worse than it probably is at have that size. Can't tell about the page quality.
  7. This one was sitting on my doorstep today. Probably because I paid for it, but hey, it's a beauty.
  8. Agreed. Obviously, the buyer really, really wanted that book. The romance ones are very hard to find.
  9. Continental Comics Auction? Did you get a certificate with it? If so, then the prior owner might have been Overstreet. I bought one Mile High L.B. Cole cover book from them and it got a CGC 9.4. I would be interested in the book, but why don't you get it graded?
  10. And now I have #47-101 in CGC 9.2 or better (actually only three issues are CGC 9.2, the rest are better).
  11. Just got these two beauties from a board member. #57 is relatively easy to find (even in CGC 9.4), but #58 is extremely tough even in CGC 9.2. I don't even think Burntboy has a nice copy (or I would have tried to buy it from him).
  12. Sweet Bowling Greens. It's a pretty decent pedigree because it has some early issues (tho most not in CGC 9.4), but has lots of later issues that are the highest grade copies and look brand spanking new. Congrats on the new addition to your pedigree family.
  13. Beautiful looking copy (great colors and perfect centering). I have the Northand of that one and lots of White Mountain TTA's, and while I don't mind the arrival dates, I'd prefer not to have them on the front cover.
  14. Very nice indeed. Boston's are pretty much as nice a pedigree as they come. The only thing holding it down is there aren't early SA books from the pedigree.
  15. DC's do not have the Overhang like Marvels and therefore it is much easier for them to have straight edges. In general, when I see a SA Marvel with perfect edges I suspect pressing (which I don't have a problem with). Of course, it's also possible that they have been trimmed (which I have a serious problem with).
  16. Thanks. I'll add it to my list. I'll try to update all these threads every few months as I accumulate more info.
  17. If you are looking for raw copies than your best bets are Don Rose (BA books all over eBay, HighGradeComics, etc) or Big Apple (on Metro). There aren't a lot of other choice online for raw. Now if you want CGC copies, ComicLink and Pedigree Comics have a ton.
  18. To me, it's as nice as any pedigree in that time range. I admit that I don't think I have many after 1967, but as you have said they are not as nice.
