  1. I paid exactly what it would / did cost me to acquire a CGC 9.2 pedigree copy. PM coming your way.
  2. Just got this one. And for the price of a CGC 9.2!!!!!
  3. Some big time amounts on a few TTA's on eBay just in the past week. Unfortunately, I needed one of those issues, came up twice and got shut out twice.
  4. Look at the date the book was included in the set. That's how you can tell the knew additions. I'm pretty sure it was a resubmit. He hasn't bought any new copies, except one, and that's contigent on it being upgraded.
  5. I actually think Colan was one of the best artist. Not saying that his covers were always the best, but the art inside the book never looked rushed (unlike say Kirby who sometimes looked like he couldn't draw a curve to save his life). And Cool Book (I have the Northland copy).
  6. Thanks. And good point on the Bethlehem books. I definitely used his site for Mass copies on ASM (but I need to add in unslabbed FF's to the list).
  7. Doug told me that there were duplicates of the PC pedigree, though I'm not sure he thought every issue had two copies.
  8. Thanks. After search that submission I also found the DD #27 CGC 9.0 Winnipeg. Where have you been?
  9. Thanks for all the info, everyone. I update my sheets with all your comments and will put an update to all the pedigree sheets once I've gone thru all the titles.
  10. Additions or Comments welcome. Once again little x means in census but .0 by grade (probably resubmit) and little u means unslabbed but know about (from collector or auction).
  11. I don't disagree there. That's why I don't collect Spidey at this time. But other Marvel titles / issues are much harder to get. Plus, part of the hunt for me is to pay a reasonable price. Still, I would love to collect other genres / ages, but I think I would need to be able to get several books at a time, so it would start to feel like a collection (or run) and not just one book from an odd publisher that I find cool. Those books start to lose my interest if I can't get other books similar to them.
  12. While I agree with your thinking, at least for me, it's harder to keep focused on a hobby if books that I want rarely come available. I love L.B. Cole covers but haven't bought one in about a year since they are rarely offered for sale. I've also sold a number of Atlas books over the past six months because I realized at this time it relatively impossible to put long runs together in HG. Yeah, I could pay five times guide to a certain dealer for ungraded HG copies, but even graded, the price is way too high.
  13. Very cool (even if Slobodian isn't recognized by CGC). I'm hoping to get a few more pedigree upgrades in the next few days. I'll represent if I do......
  14. I really like that TOS #11.....!!!!!!!!!!
  15. Most other issues after #69 are pretty easy, and you can get good prices on many of them (especially in the 9.0 / 9.2 range). A very fun run to complete!!!!!!
  16. I actually like that cover (and your copy looks sweet). I'm glad I was able to get one of the 9.4's from Heritage a few months ago, without paying a fortune. #77 and #78 are very tough to find in CGC 9.4 or better (still looking for #77).
  17. The $1K loss on the Restored Hulk #1 was made up in spades with the PC Hulk #1 purchase. Sounds to me like you've done quite well.
  18. That's a classic and very tough issue to get. Plus, at least from what I can see, it looks incredible for the grade. I still don't have a Green River pedigree book in my collection.
  19. Excellent Curators!!!!! Do the books have amazing gloss?
  20. Nice pick-up. I need that issue for my TTA run (but need it in CGC 8.0 or better).
  21. I don't expect CGC to determine a pedigree, if the submitter doesn't supply any information. Yes, if they see what they believe to be a Edgar Church/Larson or other top pedigree book (that has very distiquishing marks), I could see them going out of their way to determine if it's a pedigree. But surely not for Green River or Bethlehem (unless the Bethlehem book had the store stamp on the back). Just my two cents.
