  1. Check this one out. Apparently it's the White Mountain copy (looks like it and the label says so). The interesting thing is that the original purchaser of the book had a YEAR F$RT when he put the two digit year code on the book. TTA #46
  2. Two of my favorite titles. I'm kind of partial to the Split covers of TTA (59-69), but like the later covers of TOS (when it's not a spit cover).
  3. Yes, a very cool cover and congrats on the nice pick-ups.
  4. Is there any particular issue you would like to see?
  5. But you held the top spot for about 6 hours. Now what I want to know, is why did your Avenger set go down almost 3,000 points. Did you sell a big key, because you still have lots of books in the set.
  6. I was watching that one, just to see what it closed at. 9.2's are not crappy, but just because the scan looks nice, doesn't mean it IS AS NICE as an accurately graded 9.4. In theory, it shouldn't be. I can show you scans that look great, but the book is only FINE (see most NM eBay raw book auctions). Now if you are implying that 9.2's are great copies to have in your collection, I AGREE WHOLEHEARTLY.
  7. Hey I love 9.2's also. I would be more then happy to have them. Let me see, issue #27, 35........hmmmmmm that's about it. Just kidding. I actually have some 8.0's and 8.5's in my run and I treat them like my children (well stepchildren).
  8. I was thinking of bidding on some of those 9.0 and 9.2's. I need some READER COPIES. Actually, good luck, and hope you get a few.
  9. Yep, your #1. But not for long. Being stupid, I told Doug that the new sets will be up this week, so anyone want to guess who will have the best set?
  10. No more love for this thread. And the sets in the Registry now. Who's going to be first to pop the cherry? Is the next thread Strange Tales or a Journey Into Mystery.
  11. That is a beautiful copy. White pages and nice cut.
  12. Great TTA to start with, and it looks like it's in excellent shape.
  13. Love those TTA Northlands. It's seems that between most of us board members, we could put back a lot of that collection (might have to start a thread).
  14. Agreed. Kinda puts a damper on any books, regardless of how old they are and the grade. Maybe the TTA #27 CGC 9.4 could compete, but that would be it.
  15. And now you know why I love Northlands so much. The TTA's are extremely sharp. I have the two Northland issues before that one.
  16. Great book. But I'd like to know how many Boston copies there are of that issue?
  17. Cool book (and I don't have a book from the Ohio pedigree yet ). Most 9.6 books do have a flaw. But usually the rest of the book has to be perfect (i.e. not even one non-color breaking crease).
  18. Absolutely, a tough issue in 9.2 or better. I just picked up the CGC 9.2 copy from Heritage's auction just because I needed it to fill in my run. I'm so close to having a CGC 9.4 or higher run from #59-101 (the Hulk issues), I can taste it. Since my guess is that Doug and Tom have the two 9.6's, I'm going to have to wait until another copy gets graded at least CGC 9.4, and pay some big bucks (my offer right now is 5 times guide for CGC 9.4 with at least off-white pages).
  19. Big time thanks to Eric for a whole lot TOS's (and some nice Avengers). Very easy person to deal with.
  20. Glad I can help you fund your DC purchases (as you have help fatten up one of my Marvel runs).
  21. Very Nice X-Men. Seems we got another ultra high grade collector here. Fortunately, I'm not collecting X-Men yet (probably wait till next year as I work on a few other runs).
  22. Great Book!!! You definitely are getting some nice Bowling Green pedigrees.
