  1. I though it was a shoo-in for a 6.0, but I guess not. There's a light stain on the back cover I posted it all before, don't want to waste any more thread real-estate on this.
  2. Thanks! I added the back cover scans. I got this from Collectors_Comics on eBay, who I believe have had some criticisms lobbed their way. I don't know if they are justified, this was my first purchase from them - so hopefully no surprises. There's a very light stain on the top-right back cover. Just back from CGC . . . WOW, tough grading Raw
  3. Is it all on Netflicks? Or that option. I need to check Netflix today, and see what it costs now. We're gonna need it to see DD anyway...
  4. I probably should see it again myself, I didn't get into it until last year. I heard it really evolved from the 1st season.
  5. I'm not even going to bother watching it this time.
  6. I felt the same way, but I almost think that was on purpose. After his near-death, and using nano technology he developed to save his life, I think he's going to be a changed man and look at how vulnerable he was in that suit. To summarize, this was a very preliminary version of what he's to become.
  7. All in the Family enjoyed quite a few years at the top, 55 nominations and 22 Emmys from 1971 to 1979, Maude had 12 nominations and one win from 1973 to 1978 (when it was cancelled), The Jefferson's 14 nominations and 2 wins from 1975 - 1985 (the first win was 1981). AITF was a juggernaut for quite a while.
  8. You're probably right, since he did have super-speed, he likely had the tech too.
  9. Is Well's persona and intellect inside Thawne (like Firestorm had)
  10. Ok, but he said that Wells was going to invent the technology that could get him back, but that he wanted it to happen sooner - does he now have his knowledge or is he already as smart as Wells was and knows how to build the device?
  11. I don't know, to me a guy running at super-speed breaking the time-barrier is pushing it Have they ever explained why Wells (Thawne) felt the need to play a cripple? Is it just to dispel suspicion he could be the Reverse Flash? I just wonder if they knew where they were going to go plot-wise when they started out, or if they evolved the plot to include the part about Thawne taking Well's place. To aman619's point, I do feel that was a bit of a stretch, and a means to an end rather then something they thought out a whole lot. But as this series keeps on giving smiles, it is forgiven the occasional leap of faith.
  12. I doubt it, considering the Frankenbook would either have large detached chunks from the front cover or be restored. BTW. I'm not advocating this, but wouldn't a restored copy grade higher and even at a 4.5 - 5.0 what would that be - $3000-4000? And the near coverless donor copy could del for what a grand? And would the donor copy would have enough cover left to restore it maybe? Lot's of cheaper books had that same back cover.
  13. . . . maybe that's who bought the one with the missing back cover on ebay I didn't do the math, but could the sale of the donor book (say $1500+) and the rise in value of the one with the missing top piece, add up to more than the net costs of buying them both
  14. That is strange. If the buyer of that other book bought this also, they could splice the cover section missing from the better book (this one above) and have at least a whole cover. No?
  15. True, that 1 feedback bidder does look a bit suspicious, but the buyer bid almost and hour and a half after the "shill" so they knew what they were going to pay for it.
  16. That's sweet! Better get on it before Arrow brings Solomon Grundy back as the monster! I've always had a special love of those 2 Showcases. Extraordinary covers on both, but especially the 55
  17. Oh absolutely not, we wouldn't want that to happen
  18. It's a GREAT time to have Showcases I did a little dance when I heard this new last night It's great how one title is being tapped for so many shows. Can Challengers be far behind
  19. Indeed! I was watching that book, but I was busy yesterday and lost track of it, it really lagged up until the last day (I guess). That is pretty amazing result, IMHO, for book with a huge chunk out of the front cover, and NO back cover? WOW!
  20. Dr Who alumni to play Rip Hunter - holy mackerel!!!! http://www.comicbookresources.com/article/doctor-who-alum-joins-flasharrow-spinoff-as-dc-time-traveler?utm_campaign=doctor-who-alum-joins-flasharrow-spinoff-as-dc-time-traveler&utm_medium=email&utm_source=breaking_bulletin [font:Arial Black] "DOCTOR WHO" ALUM JOINS "FLASH"/"ARROW" SPINOFF AS DC TIME TRAVELER"[/font] "Arthur Darvill -- best known as Rory on "Doctor Who" and Paul Coates on "Broadchurch" -- has joined the cast of the in-development "Flash" and "Arrow" spinoff as long-running DC Comics character Rip Hunter, as reported Monday by The Wrap. Hunter is described as "a roguish time traveler who hides the strains of being responsible for history itself behind a facade of charm and wit." The as-yet untitled CW series has been said to feature three characters from DC Comics history not previously seen on TV, and Hunter would fit the bill -- he hasn't been depicted in live-action, though did appear in an episode of the animated "Batman: The Brave and the Bold." This is the second announced addition to the series revealed today, following the earlier news that Ciara Renée has been cast as Hawkgirl. The show is outside of the current pilot cycle, with a possible debut of midseason next year. The "Flash" and "Arrow" spinoff is set to star Brandon Routh (Ray Palmer/The Atom on "Arrow"), Wentworth Miller (Leonard Snart/Captain Cold on "Flash"), Dominic Purcell (Mick Rory/Heat Wave on "Flash"), Victor Garber (Martin Stein/one-half of Firestorm on "Flash") and Caity Lotz in an as-yet undisclosed role, following the death of her "Arrow" character of Sara Lance at the start of this season. "Flash" and "Arrow" vets Andrew Kreisberg, Greg Berlanti and Marc Guggenheim will executive produce."
