  1. You Had a CGC 9.2 with White Pages of Showcase 30 and you sold it? For gosh sakes, why didn't you sell it to me? And I thought we were BFF. I guess I'll have to reconsider. ()
  2. Is it me or did that Ezra Miller dude appear to be wasted during that interview? I hope they know what they're doing with the movie Flash
  3. It'll also cross-pollinate the fans from Constantine over to Arrow, which like Flash, has proven to be a very good strategy.
  4. Nice books (thumbs u For some reason the #30 looks better than other books in lower grades. I've got a slabbed 6.0 that looks every bit a 7-8 at a glance. Of course the 9.2 W I had looked pretty nice too
  5. I wonder how many folks have added Flash #123 to their want-lists after the news that it inspired the next season appearance of the Jay Garrick Flash
  6. I have wanted to get a copy of this issue for a while, and that goes for both of them This one thanks to board member Brock, AKA Carolina Comics
  7. I really happy for you Chris and proud to have had a hand in helping you to achieve this. (thumbs u The 65 - 104 run however is every bit as difficult to put together if you're looking for high-grade examples, and you have a set that is very strong in this area. It'll be cool to see you and Joey battle it out next year
  8. I saw a scene where they're all together walking in lockstep and the actor playing the Thing must be inside a rubber-suit and, well, it just looks like walking doody.
  9. If this is true ". . . it's the most successful show on television"
  10. He says, in the relative safety of the SC #22 thread Now go drop that one in one of the threads about those books But I agree, at least about the book being really cool! I LOVE the cover of SC #22, It exemplifies the greatest days of comics. What I collect rules and what everyone else collects sucks! I do own all three though SC #22 best interior art and story SC #4 Biggest key and overall toughest BB #28 best cover IMO Clearly the trinity of DC SA greatness. sounds about right

  13. I'm proud to be the first to post feedback for sales I've done with Chris, and all I can say is he is a stand-up guy, a man of his word and an extremely conscientious buyer. I am pleased to give fellow board member Sam I am, my highest recommendation!
  14. I was interested in that one as well, but it looked like it had a rather dirty front cover (and rusty staples?). Probably not a 7.5 in the CGC world, but it was tempting until the bid took off north of $2k. That top staple does look a little dark, now that you mention it That books is a toughie.
  15. Strong price on that #17, in PGX mode. It looks like it grades around a 7.0 +/- to me.
  16. That was a nice copy. I guess a few people thought so as well, and bid it up A better one will come along
  17. If anyone needs one of these, now's the time to get it while I'm not right in the head http://www.ebay.com/itm/201368652716?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 . . . thus I post an inappropriately self promotional, uh, post.
  18. I dig that golden lariat. She can wring the truth out of me any day
  19. Thanks all for the advice and support in resolving this!
  20. I like poking you guys - you get all serious
  21. I would be very curious what explains away lying to someone repeatedly. Can't think of any myself. He assures me it is all true. I told him that putting a check in a box without telling someone is a block-headed move, but that even I make block-headed mistakes. But saying you're going to do something and not, repeatedly is where I draw the line. We'll see what happens Monday. Ok, I am officially checking out of this thread as the matter was resolved today when he paid me. I love the message he sent with it - Thanks for the money when I needed it - my sentiments exactly
