  1. It's official, this is what Showcase #'s 1 - 61 (+64) looks like laid out on a rug and shot from above. I have several shots, none captures all the books, but collectively they're all captured (see the slide show). It's done! I already have an upgrade for Showcase #16 in hand, so things will change, but here they are Here's a slide-show with few more shots: http://s226.photobucket.com/user/ollerom_photos/slideshow/showcase%20group%20shots
  2. it also ramped up the typical CW stuff. Since the Flash told Iris that she is a woman worth being on time for now her feelings for the Flash have intensified but they can't be together. Same old and tired Smallville stuff. I don't mind the "CW" stuff, I know they need it to keep the show on the air. I just ignore it. Wells seems to be intent on preventing some future disaster. He appeared less evil in the last show. Maybe, but I have a real hard time forgetting the knife-to-the-ribs routine. That's hard to interpret any other way but evil. But hey, are these not great times when we have things like this to look forward to and discuss? Next Tuesday and Wednesday should be really great cross-over. I can't hardly wait. HAPPY THANKSGIVING everybody
  3. I don't think they were expecting people to read that paper. They probably didn't bargain on the level of obsession we fans are capable of. They're leaning though.
  4. Exactly.......hence why I am not going to see Bat v Sup. Don't understand why they are attempting to reinvent the best wheel. Why mess with a very good thing. Think of it as another chapter - the Frank Miller Dark Knight.
  5. Nolan's work stands as the high-water mark for DC movies thus far. But I think maybe it's time to let others take a shot at it. The Dark Knight series was his masterpiece and better to leave the genre on a high note.
  6. No show tonight - 2-parter (Flash & Arrow crossover) next Tuesday & Wednesday.
  7. the same can be said about Marvel remove all the Marvel Studios movies and we'll left with bad movies also. Watchman, really? I thought that was pretty groundbreaking. I wasn't gonna go there but since you open it up - Marvel has had a few stinkers too - even the movies they aren't producing had the Marvel logo on it. They have a big challenge ahead getting their properties back. I think DC is slowly getting their act together (hopefully) I mean the line up of films, the really good extensions into TV, and the people they are pulling together. Time will tell, but it looks pretty good. I honestly want Marvel to get FF and Spider-man back (I love them both) and continue to do well and keep the pressure on DC to make better films.
  8. I saw it but it's cool to see again! Thanks for the link I'm sure folks will enjoy it as well. I really like where this is going. Maybe Ollie will help give our Flash friend a spine. I mean "I'm pretty sure that's illegal" doesn't exactly instill fear in a villain. Barry needs to toughen up a bit. Ollie might be just the dude to do it.
  9. Next week 2 part episode: Flash on Tuesday and Arrow on Wednesday,.
  10. I'm not convinced Nolan is as great as everyone makes him out to be (just go and see Interstellar) and I do think this move, getting a Female director with a bunch of successful-film notches on her belt already, is a very good one. I think this movie is going to rock. I don't take anything away from Marvel, but they do have some major issues with regard to their properties and until that's all resolved, we may see a rise in the fortunes of the DC properties with all the great films planned for the next few years.
  11. Michele MacLaren is going to develop and direct the Wonder Woman movie? http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=57316&utm_campaign=michelle-maclaren-to-direct-develop-wonder-woman-film&utm_medium=email&utm_source=breaking_bulletin
  12. BTW, there were 10 11 of them (Showcases from the bound volume) that were labeled that way - all have since been downgraded to "No Grade: 0.3", whatever the heck a 0.3 is anyway. So they made the same mistake a few times
  13. Since this relates somewhat, a bunch of early Showcases (10 in fact) in CC's Event auction that came from a bound volume listed as 6.0 were just downgraded to "No Grade" with multiple bids on most of the books. What happens to bidders who bid on them as 6.0's http://www.comicconnect.com/bookSearch.php?title=showcase&issue= "From bound volume, trimmed, tape at spine; otherwise VG in appearance" A far cry from FINE
  14. They changed the descriptions on all the Showcases that were from that bound volume from 6.0 to No Grade: 0.3 after there's been bids on them :o :o :o :o :o :o WTF Is that all about
  15. That and grade trimmed books with tape all over them as fine. Pure fantasy
  16. I looked a few days ago and it was like 65 sets away. They are catching up I guess. Very cool! I'm not sure where they'll divide it, I PM'd Gemma to ask if we could change the diving line to 64/65 but I haven't heard any word back. It really doesn't matter a whole lot I guess just as long as it's split.
  17. I would say so, and the fact Ray Palmer is devising how to become the Atom on the TV on the new Flash this week. I think that could help too.
  18. Darn, with so many comic-related shows and plot lines to keep up with, I don't remember this - did that really happen? Is so, that would seem significant. He did stand up in the first episode we saw him in before he was 'crippled' and in the subsequent flashback to the night the accelerator exploded. (he was popping a champagne bottle to celebrate). CISCO doesn't have an evil bone in his body and will eventually become VIBE. They keep hinting at it even with his dialogue pertaining to 'energy' and 'power', etc. CAITLIN is good...for now. She's absolutely going to become the villain known as "Killer Frost", or rather the 3rd incarnation of that character. Some accident that hasn't happened yet is probably going to account for both of their transformations. Before that happens we'll have to see the introduction of Firestorm, which is getting even more confusing by the day....since they're incorporating at least 2 versions if not 3 versions of Firestorm into the upcoming character. Even her dialogue pertaining to her relationship stated they were 'like fire and ice'. Caitlin will probably be 'evil' simply because she needs heat from other sources to survive.....and people are clearly one of those sources....but she can use Firestorm's heat to abate her hunger for energy. It's going to be one of those vampire that doesn't really want to hurt folks but has to eat things. I will have to go back to the DVR and check - but I seem to remember a very short scene where he stood in front of them after getting out of the wheelchair. I HAVE been wrong before........ Ditto at least once anyway
