  1. Sure are, and the issue you have there has a gorgeous cover Beautiful colors on that book!
  2. Keep it up and you may want to think abou changing your handle to Showcase4man
  3. Hasn't been submitted yet. I see SC #4 in your signature, Did you get it graded yet? nope. It's 80%+ going to be a 7.0, 10% or less a 6.5, 10% or less a 7.5. Those are decent odds.
  4. Hasn't been submitted yet. I see SC #4 in your signature, Did you get it graded yet?
  5. Haven't seen it - is there REALLY an appearance of RR as the GA Green Lantern??? If so that sounds very cool! Got to check that out. Thanks (thumbs u
  6. Looks so sweet you almost want to crack it out and eat it. Good job!
  7. Pretty good job! You nailed the "Kirby fleeing citizens". You should do some more, me thinks (thumbs u
  8. But seriously, inquiring minds want to know And did RockyMullins snag the raw one i pointed out that was for sale on eBay? Stay tuned to this bat-channel for the answers
  9. Here's one in fair for under $700. Seller says the cover is split and detached from book but all there. http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem?itemId=300731397287
  10. I would guess you could find a low grade one for under a grand. A few years back I found a nice Vg copy at the NYCC (convention) for under $2k. I walked it over to Matt Nelson's table and he checked it over for resto right there on the spot. My suggestion would be to go to a con and try to find a copy fron one of the better-known reputable dealers. This way you can hold and look at the book before you buy it. If that's not possible there's quite a few reputable comic sellers right here on the board who may have what you're looking for. Although SC #4's seem to be in short supply lately in these parts. Good luck with the hunt! It's truly a worthy endeavor (thumbs u
  11. Hey Roulette44 when you going to unveil the reslabbed SC #4 you recently snagged on c-link? Did the PGX gamble pay off?
  12. Seems like a very nice copy for sale by Dale Roberts on ebay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/SHOWCASE-4-CGC-4-0-1ST-APPEARANCE-OF-THE-FLASH?item=350574285771&cmd=ViewItem&_trksid=p5197.m7&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26itu%3DUCI%26otn%3D4%26po%3DLVI%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D9223218160224019797#ht_2512wt_936 If I didn't have a 4.0 already (albeit with lesser PQ) I would definitely go for this one. Odd how comics offered for a BIN on ebay often sit untouched, while the same comic on Heritage would probably already be bid up higher
  13. Wouldn't have guessed that was a Mac Raboy cover - but there it is.
  14. Wowser very impressive indeed (thumbs u
  15. I agree. I recently started collecting ASMs, and it's not nearly as much fun as looking for DCs. They're everywhere, in any grade you want. If you feel like just spending a bunch of money, you can get a full run in an hour. and if you are a billionaire, you can have a spidey run like Ghost Town! True dat! Maybe a 9.6 run ain't so easy to come by... Easy, maybe. Cheap, never
  16. Just keep your eyes out I rarely see them on ebay, more often they pop up on c-link. Like you were in the case of the #14, you got to be fast and decisive, or you're going to lose the book to another buyer. When they're priced right, they seem to go quick. Guess there's more then a few DC guys left.
  17. Did you happen to snag that 6.0 #14 was listed the other day on clink? It looked quite nice as well and not a bad price either. I was thinking of upgrading my 5.0, but somebody spared me by taking it. So much temptation to buy lately.
  18. You would be a hero - certainly in my eyes. Great looking book you got there (thumbs u
  19. Looked a lot nicer than a 6.0. If there's no rest or trimming that could be a sweet deal indeed. I guess that's the risk and the reward. Heck, the guy in the "crack it baby" thread in general resubbed a PGX book and got a full point and a half higher grade from CGC and no resto so anything's possible.
  20. Maybe how I'm reading GPA, but the last sale of a 6.0 was for $9,995 in Dec 2010. The Savannah copy is a 6.0 and actually sold for a little less, $8,664 in Feb 2011. So a 6.0 is a bit more than $7k. The asking price on the 7.0 on c-link has been reduced to $11,000. SOLD FOR $9,650 Will anyone dare to venture there given it was graded by the "other guys"? ANYONE HERE GET IT
  21. JB - as it's been said, you have an awesome collection of original art (thumbs u
