  1. Wow!!! This thread rocks My 1st Chesler, thanks to alanna (thumbs u and hopefully my ticket into the club
  2. One of my favorite Wayne Boring covers! Good luck with the subs mann
  3. A buddy of mine commissioned George to do a recreation cover of Weird Comics #1 about a year before he passed away. George colored it even though he only ordered (and paid for) a B&W recreation. My friend was really happy with it. George was that kind of guy, just a sweet man.
  4. . . . which in your best case is a $9,000 +/- book, not $12,500. But I agree that is certainly looks very sharp. Weird that c-link doesn't allow for resubmission to CGC and refund if it comes up restored. I mean they could easily make it conditional to the seller as well. I don't know why they would not want to out the book if it's restored It certainly wouldn't do their reputation any good if it ended up being trimmed, or worse.
  5. They shot me down Thanks man, I'll probably pull through. I just can't bring myself to write them a check for some reason. I don't why, but it really bugs me. Looks like I'm getting an AF 15 instead!!! Have I switched to the Dark Side??? I saw. You'll be back you're avatar will start talking to you.
  6. I love these! any idea where they can be bought??! They are cool! I have a set of Wonder Woman 1-10 magnets on my radiator cover at the office. I see similar magnets for sale on ebay all the time
  7. Countered? So his price is $8k? Interesting But you're right, it makes me nervous too. Anyone serious about it, might want to call c-link and see if they (or the seller) will guarantee it's unrestored. That's the only way I would buy it if I had the money that is
  8. It wasn't...not at liberty to say why, but it was not the heritage underbidder (thumbs u Pretty sure that Dicaprio and Zuckerberg teamed up with a Chinese conglomerate to buy the book. Without a doubt, that must be it
  9. Big bags of cash. That's all they want, is your cash
  10. price has been dropped to $12,500
  11. Yeah, I kinda wondered along those lines myself. Just seems crazy money for a 7.0 copy. Not that I wouldn't mind having it, but $7,469 seems a bit unrealistic.
  12. http://www.comiclink.com/auctions/item.asp?back=%2Fsearch%5Fadv%2Easp%3Fall%3Dy%26TITLE%3Dwonder%2Bwoman%26TITLEOPT%3DALL%26ISSUE%3D7%26Condition%3D%26ConditionTo%3D%26CensusRank%3D%26SearchPageQuality%3D%26Pedigree%3D%26PRICEF%3D%26PRICET%3D%26DESCRIPTION%3D%26DESCRIPTIONOPT%3DALL%26SearchRemarks%3D%26SearchCGC%3D%26EXCLUDE%3D%26CATEGORIES%3D%2D1%26WCATEGORIES%3D%2D1%26SORT%3DCATEG%26%5Fwhere%5Fauctions%3Dy%26x%3D32%26y%3D0%26where%5Fauctions%3Dy%23Item%5F924054&id=924054 $8,211
  13. One thing, who would leave a book like this in a PGX slab knowing it would easily sell for the right price if it were in a CGC slab. Besides c-link will back it according to their terms. I think that kinda sizes it up, must have some issue that CGC would tag.
  14. BUT from what we can see It sure does look nice.
  15. OMG that would be very bad for the new owner
  16. Interesting that c-link specifically states they will guarantee a CGC slab, but makes no mention of doing the same for PGX. Guess it's another indication of the lack of trust most people have in PGX's grading standards.
  17. Here's a discussion in page 8 http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=5711392&fpart=8 Good find (thumbs u . . . and what you said about it then Flash105: Do tell what you heard
  18. I highly doubt it. Why would they guarantee for a product of another company/ pgx C-links return policy: Money Back Guarantee ComicLink provides a 6-day money back guarantee on all non CGC-graded comic books (including PGX books, unless the PGX books were purchased at auction). A return will be accepted if all of the following occur: 1) Payment is received from the buyer on time 2) The book is mailed back out to ComicLink no later than 6 days from the date received by the buyer, 3) ComicLink receives an email or phone notification within the 6-day time period that the book is going to be returned, and 4) The item is received by ComicLink in the same condition sent, within 12 days from the date the book was first received by the buyer. In the extremely rare event that CGC's competant staff misses restoration on a book, and that book is subsequently shown to be problematic at any time in the future (after being reviewed by CGC or by ComicLink's staff before it is cracked out of the CGC holder), a full refund will be issued. They only appear to guarantee CGC books to be unrestored that could turn out bad. Without a doubt they should
  19. Absolutely Fabulous George and totally cool to post, IMHO!
  20. cojones is not what I am lacking - the money is. But I tend to agree with George, too risky. I wonder does c-link guarantee unrestored on PGX books if you re-slab them with CGC?
  21. Ryan's cover recreations are really quite awesome That guy has talent & Chesler covers are great subjects!
  22. This 7.0 just popped up for sale on comiclink: http://www.comiclink.com/itemdetail.asp?back=%2Fsearch%5Fadv%2Easp%3Fall%3Dy%26TITLE%3D%26TITLEOPT%3DALL%26ISSUE%3D%26Condition%3D%26ConditionTo%3D%26CensusRank%3D%26SearchPageQuality%3D%26Pedigree%3D%26PRICEF%3D%26PRICET%3D%26DESCRIPTION%3D%26DESCRIPTIONOPT%3DALL%26SearchRemarks%3D%26SearchCGC%3D%26EXCLUDE%3D%26CATEGORIES%3D%2D1%26WCATEGORIES%3D%2D1%26SORT%3DNEW%26%5Fwhere%5Fforsale%3Dy%26%5Fwhere%5Fauctions%3Dy%26x%3D26%26y%3D14%26where%5Fforsale%3Dy&id=932713 BUT It's graded by the wrong company.
  23. Nice book! And you couldn't find a nicer guy to deal with. Congrats!
