  1. Ryan Renolds in the role of Hal Jordan and the SA Green Lantern won the People's Choice Award for Superhero's in a movie. The other nominees in the category were Chris Evans as Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, James McAvoy as Professor X, and Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique. Interestingly no Batman or Spiderman. Go figure
  2. Sharon is well known here on the CGC message boards, and that's for a very good reason. She is passonate about the hobby and one of the most honest people I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. This most recent deal (via PM) involved one of my personal grails. Sharon helped me to achieve the challenging goal of finding a decent, affordable mid-grade copy. Sharon has infinite patience, she's fair and very professional. Sha is a class act indeed and she deserves my highest recommendation! KUDOS!
  3. Looks like a match to me. Good detective work
  4. I see what you're getting at. AKA "gift grade"
  5. I see a lot of marks on the back cover - what's the significance?
  6. Got this Wonder Woman #15 from Heritage's "make an offer" - it finally worked! Maybe even a board member's copy Complete's (once again) the run from 1-20. BTW, that's not a crack in the top of slab (across the CGC label), I was too lazy to remove the mylar, it's a wrinkle
  7. It sells for $5,585.00, GPA 12 month average is $6,050. Good for the buyer I guess.
  8. Here's a Holiday wish a membership for those that have not an upgrade for those that have Best of luck to all in the new year.
  9. Seriously, I see the book moving up again since I see copies moving briskly and quite decent prices. I already regretting selling my 5.0 .. A SC22 in 5.0 is still the point where it's a bit harder to pry loose at a decent price. true dat - I still hold the GPA record for irrational exuberance in that grade range
  10. I have to believe it is due in part to DC's seeming inability to properly port these properties to movies and games (case in point the Green Lantern movie). I mean even the big to do about the JLA video game seems to have cooled down a bit. You would think though that the launch of the new 52 would spur interest and bring in some new fans. But I imagine the modern fans probably would have little interest in big-dollar SA books.
  11. From your lips to gods ears I bet I'm going to regret it a year from now if I sell that dupe. But when you see Marvels that are as common as dirt going for such crazy money, and DC keys like SC #22 still attainable in decent grades, it makes you think where it might go.
  12. That's a nice one. Should be interesting to watch
  13. I have to agree, looks better than a 3.0 to me, and OW pages to boot. Nice (thumbs u
  14. Not to make excuses for them, but doing a book like this, where additional material is constantly unearthed, can be a daunting task. And he's running at least 2 businesses, while traveling to and attending comic cons. We ought to cut them a break. I mean look at the wonderful web site with all those great pedigree books to view. That alone is a pretty good beggining.
  15. I'm a little slow on the uptake
  16. Wow, I did not know that was the same 7.5 sold on ebay That's amazing. You guys are great at tracking books. That is why I love this place and it is invaluable resource. If the owner of that savannah ever upgrades, I hope they keep it in the family and offer it here Again, congratulations on finally scatting getting your grail trifecta.
  17. Tell me were they cinnamon- raisin or everything? I want whatever you were havin' Seriously dude I am jealous. I too made the critical error of not making a go for that 7.5 on eBay last year, but like someone said, you never know how high the other bidder will go. Then there was the savannah copy, which was right in my sweet spot both in grad and price. I don't know what the one went you got sold for - missed the party- but I wouldn't have been a playa right now anyway. The boat for showcase 4 seems to be rapidly sailing. I may have, like with SC #22, come back to the party late. Glad I at least got one before the proverbial lock But I could be wrong
  18. Wow, well done indeed sir (thumbs u Really really nice snag. Bob
  19. Parting with it already What the heck was in that OO collection
  20. Very nice! WP's. Once you got one, you can never go back
  21. I must concur with that. Still, it does have those lovely WP
