  1. If a grader is available they may be able to review the comic in the case somewhat, but it is best to call the office beforehand and inquire about the graders notes and the potential for a review. If the book is a good candidate for review then you should bring it to the convention still in its case in order to prevent any damage. This answers my question. Just to clarify, I've already called and I do have the graders notes. They reinforce my opinion the book might potentially get a grade bump if resubmitted. Thank you!
  2. Regarding on-site grading at NYCC - with a book already in a CGC slab (aka a re-sub) is it possible to get the opinion of the CGC rep on-site of a book's potential for a grade-bump? . . . and Is it better to leave the book in CGC slab or should I remove it from the slab prior to bringing it to the Con?
  3. Top-center front cover is a bit funky, looks like the bundle tie took a little of the ink off.
  4. UH-OH-over priced. You got that right They can try though
  5. I saw that this morning!! What's the deal with this?? Some drunk seller typed in the wrong asking price when listing the book. The listing has since become nonexistent
  6. UH-OH - big dog alert http://www.comiclink.com/itemdetail.asp?id=904579
  7. That copy has been bumped. Originally it was a 6.5.... It actually looks really nice. The back cover might be keeping it low, but the front cover looks like a 7.5/ 8.0 to me Or maybe the vertical sun shadow across the right side front cover? Definitely going to sell for a lot more than $5k, if we have anything to say about it Yes (thumbs u we want to know moar

  10. Kudos on #1000! Only fitting you use it in a thread about the book featuring the birth of your Avatar's namesake hero. (thumbs u
  11. True that (thumbs u being the owner of the most expensive 5.0 in the universe, I have to agree On the bright side...5.0 are uncommon and 3.5 and under are common. Time...and it will look cheap. True And in fairness to the universe, I benefitted from a few other "bargains" before the DC's hit the proverbial fan, so It all kinda balances out in the end. Who knew a bargain 6.0 would pop up right after I clicked the 5.0. Oh well, It's not too hard having 2

  18. So is your 6.0 ow the one in SC1959s list? Dunno - I may be missing something, but it says 6.0 ow/w?
