  6. Pictures Seriously though, kudos to you (thumbs u
  7. That sounds about right (thumbs u
  8. It does. My 4.0 (1st page & post of this thread) has less creases and wear, but perhaps the LT pages kept if from going higher. I'd like to upgrade to a 5.0 someday, so I'm just a spectator on this one. Any predictions on the closing price?
  9. Link? Glad you asked, as I mis-spoke, it was Heritage's auction. Sorry 'bout that. http://comics.ha.com/common/view_item.php?Sale_No=7033&Lot_No=91347
  10. That 4.0 in Comiclink Heritage's Signature Auction sure looks sweet.
  11. Who'da guessed we'd learn so much about Marvel keys in a thread about SC #22
  12. Offwhite-white pages Where did u pick that up? Congrats! Gator/Rick has it waiting for me. Now I understand the reference to the SDCC. Rick is the purveyor of keys
  13. That pretty much covers it in my book They are the only 3 mega-keys coming to mind at the moment for DC silver age. (unless you want to count the first issues of the JLA, GL the Flash(105) as well...) SC 4 B&B 28 Adventure 247 SC 22 Flash 105 Showcase 17 B&B 34 Showcase 34 Showcase 9 Showcase 30 JLA 1 GL 1 OAW 81, 83 GI Combat 87 thank you!
  14. I was going to point out that there are no less than 2 in the Collector Society marketplace but I see you posted on one of the threads already. They are indeed scarce, but there's more shaking out of the trees now that the movie release is imminent. BTW, WTTB
  15. Welcome! The resident restoration experts may chime in, but from personal experience having had tape professionally removed from a vintage comic, tape is one of the toughest things to deal with and it can get costly to have it removed. It all depends on how baked-into the paper the tape has become. I'd enjoy the copy you have and save my money for when the opportunity to upgrade comes about, you'll be ready.
  16. Nice looking copy, it is. Funny how yesterday's "too expensive", is today's bargain. In hindsight, $6k seems cheap, if you consider this is DC's version of the FF.
  17. All of a sudden a 7.0 walks in, and the saloon goes silent http://www.comiclink.com/itemdetail.asp?id=887566 The big-uns are arrivin'
  18. The one that sold for $4500 had off-white pages
  19. You sure are, and then-some by the looks of it. Nice haul (thumbs u
  20. Cool Here's another http://www.comiclink.com/Auctions/item.asp?id=882935 Date stamped Focussed auction starts tonight Going to be a long 3 weeks. If you prefer not to wait, there's an off-white one that was just listed on Comiclink, this one is in the (buy-it-now) sales section - albeit with a $2400 asking price. http://www.comiclink.com/itemdetail.asp?id=887055
  21. The Twin Cities BB28 (CGC 6.5) is one of the cleanest I've seen. I got to remember to take a look at that one. I think the auction that is being offered in is being held in New York. Maybe fun to go watch the bidding. Although it could be risky, as I have a tendency to lose all reason when I get an auction paddle in my hands.
