  1. I'm curious where you saw $360 for a one-day pass. That sounds like a secondary market price.
  2. I don’t have my copy in front of me at the moment but as I recall, a scientist made a drug that transformed Batman and Superman into Two-Face and Kralik, respectively. Kind of a Jekyll/Hyde thing I think.
  3. Comics were packed securely and shipped lightning fast. Included a freebie too! Great to buy from.
  4. You can also park further away and take the trolley. It has two stops at the convention center.
  5. Great to work with and fast international shipping!
  6. I'll bet there are guys on this forum who have dated such women and even married one. Probably a good thing, too, since it will keep the collection from expanding into the entire house. I had an internal debate for awhile about making the above joke and my internal won.
  7. By the way, the first thing I do when I get a raw comic in the mail is count the pages and inspect them. I ask to inspect raw comics at conventions too, but I try not to be a pain about it. I learned from some disappointing experiences.
  8. What disturbs me about this is that a professional grading service assigned it a 3.0 instead of a 0.5 incomplete. If the graders didn't notice it was missing a page then I start wondering how many other incomplete books have slipped by. Sure, even grading companies make mistakes but that's pretty egregious.
  9. From a 1976 Overstreet Price Guide ad, here is a blatant example of using a salacious image to manipulate you into selling your comics. C'mon now! Raise your hand if it worked on you.
  10. I'm very pleased. Fast shipping and expert packaging. Thanks!
  11. As I continued to stroll (stumble, really) down memory lane I recalled something about the creation of Swamp Thing in an editorial page of #1, so I got my copy out to take a look. Here is a scan of a paragraph. I'm sorry it's sideways. Anyway, it mentions a man turned monster but it says it was in House Of Mystery. I think that's a mistake and they meant to say House Of Secrets. The story in House of Mystery #195 has no mention of a man turned into a swamp creature but I wonder if it was an inspiration for the Parliament of Trees. Seems like it to me. me.
  12. I was pretty sure the talking raccoon in Marvel Preview #7 had a name so I got out my copy to take a look. There is a panel in which he says his friends call him Rocky.
  13. The Spirit story in the Jules Feiffer book is from the July 20, 1941 insert, not the origin story. I discovered that book in a library when I was a kid. It was great!
  14. Thanks for posting this. As others have said, George's Marvel Comics Indexes were a wealth of information in the pre-internet era. I was making my weekly trip to my LCS in 1976 when I saw the first one, Spider-Man, on the shelf. It was a bit pricey compared to a comic book but after flipping through it I had to buy it. I collected the volumes that followed too. Great work. R.I.P. George
