JC Strike 3

I'm in the "not a fan" group. The latest joy was in the "9.4" thread in the Bronze forum, in which my opinion was branded as "freakishly bizarre, even for these forums", and my writing categorized as "third grade level" (in fact, as a scientist I am a professional writer and have published over a hundred articles; this means I've at least achieved a fifth grade level...). It's funny in a juvenile way, but only when it is not directed at you personally. Indeed, I believe these disrespectful interactions with JC are the only negative ones I've ever had on the forum. The childish salvos not only get tiring, but push people away from using these forums.

It seems to be JC's MO to attack someone's intelligence level if HE is not able to mount an argument or counter-argument to someone disputing his esteemed opinion. There is some irony in there somewhere... I think...

If it's true that this policy will apply to him, then I will greatly enjoy baiting him when he comes back, to see if I can goad him into getting another strike. I'd gladly take another one for the team if it would get rid of JC forever.

After a nite on the town, I had a quadruple Vodka Redbull a few weeks ago to celebrate my "recovery". Went home shortly after that little endeavor. I'm sticking to triples from now on.

i think VCC Elite was a tongue-in-cheek comment. joe_c either hasn't realised or doesn't care that his normal bilious tone completely eliminates any chance of sarcasm or facetiousness from being read properly

 

I don't think JC has ever said anything tongue-in-cheek. He's straightforward, rude, a would be bully, interesting, smart, opinionated, and fun to tangle with. I really didn't think he went over the top too much, but he constantly pushed the envelope.

Anything that he says that is later proved to be false, he then lets you know was really just a joke. A joke you were too stupid to get in the first place.

 

As a teacher, I sadly see this most every day in bully behavior with ten year olds. Again, quite simple. Also, the bully usually has friends that are afraid of, and defend him.

WOW, you really nailed it on the head 'teacher' ...everyone that likes, has respect, or is amused by JC (although, theoretically, it could be anyone) are nothing more than sycophantic, myopic, besotted, followers...hmmmmmmmmmm ...clearly the thinking of brilliance, I must admit.

Now that I think about it, when there are flame wars going on during the weekends and threads get pulled real quickly, and we come back on Monday only to see strikes handed out. My question is, who does all the thread pulling? because obviously the 2 main Mods are not here during the weekend hm

I got JC to apologize to me for a personal attack. And he also confirmed that I was

right with the evidence I presented to him.

 

Looking back on it now, I could have had him banned at the moment he attacked me.
