Bump this with a few Astoundings I picked up. They're not in high grade but decent enough and readable. For some, like the April 1936 Lovecraft issue, I'm living with the fact that I probably won't be getting high grade.

I actually have a nice copy but this was in the same grouping so I snagged it. I can re-sell or trade for something else. I don't have the January 1940, which has a Heinlen story or Feb 1941, which has two :headbang:

I have all the pre-war Heinlein pulps, although some are pretty beat up.  Classic stuff.

It was a bit of a gloomy, rainy morning here, so it seems appropriate to post another Ghost Stories. This is the April 1929 issue, which features Robert E. Howard's only contribution to this title. His story, "The Apparition in the Prize Ring," appeared under the name John Taverel.

Wow Doug,

Great copy,  great condition, and great provenance!

This along with many other ghost stories are highly desired, especially this particular one because of Howard!

Finally was able to complete a trade and acquire the last of the three (3 of 3) "Black Hood /Hooded Detectives that I needed, and was able to also acquire (in the same trade) all three rare Canadian editions to go with them (Sure-Fire Detective) in high grade ... to boot!!

Of course, I acquired the three Sure-Fire Detective's and the one Black Hood Detective from Doug (Pulp Vault) on a trade, in which I sent him a beautiful cloth advertising pulp banner from the 1920s, that I just acquired, and a couple of other things.

Below is Doug's write-up about the Pulps that he posted earlier on Facebook:

Girl in a drawer!  lol  More in the others?  That other collector there is pretty upset that he wasn't the one to win that "grail".  Maybe he's the under-bidder?  "Exotic, peppy, exciting", kinky?
