Hepcat
A few more Gold Key from my collection. I had more than I remembered! Wow! That might be the very best cover of the entire run! (thumbs u
frozentundraguy
That's a nice one! Here are some scans of a title based on one of my all-time favourite sixties TV shows: 1 2 3 4 5 Backing this thread up just a moment. These early Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea books you have are brilliant. I especially like #4 & 5.

frozentundraguy
Here's a cover from August of 1969. I think they did an excellent job with great covers throughout the series. It appears they could have used some help from Magnus Robot Fighter.

frozentundraguy
Hepcat, Greate run of The Man from Uncle books. (thumbs u I noticed that there are at least 4 Man from Uncle games and even one for Illya Kurakin in the boad game book by Scarpone. I have few more Gold Keys. # 20 I wonder if Gold Key didn't have the rights to Neptune? # 73 #
Hepcat
Hepcat, Greate run of The Man from Uncle books. (thumbs u I noticed that there are at least 4 Man from Uncle games and even one for Illya Kurakin in the boad game book by Scarpone. This one is the classic: It's a board game I'd really like to get. The Ideal games had the best box art. Edited November 28, 2011 by Hepcat

Icculus308win
I remember balling my eyes out the first time my older brother had me watch it in lower school!! Obviously it was a set up to make me cry like a girl.
Hepcat
Oh man, the Capitol(?) theater in downtown London was full of tears when Old Yeller was released!
Icculus308win
Hah!! So even across the pond tears were flowing.
Hepcat
If the pond to which you're referring is Lake Michigan, then you are indeed correct. Edited January 3, 2012 by Hepcat
Icculus308win
!! Okay, come on, an honest mistake. I just saw London and figured you lived in England prior to residing in Ontario. Now I know there is another London, that had/has a theatre in it. (and knowing is half the battle!!)
Hepcat
London, Ontario has a population of just over 350,000 and is Canada's tenth largest city. I just wish it had a more distinctly Canadian name but for reasons of tradition/heritage, it's not likely to be changed within my lifetime. Sadly, the Capitol, Loews/Century, Odeon, Victoria, Center and Park theatres in downtown London are all gone now. With the exception of the Hyland in Old South London, all the theatres now are megaplexes in suburban malls. Bummer. Icculus308win
Older theaters, many of which were or would be historical waypoints for cities and their downtowns - are unfortunately becoming rare birds. It's indeed a bummer. Many have such character and have beautiful architectural work from their eras.

frozentundraguy
Time to give this thread a bump. Thought I would try a photo for a change, but the lighting must not be right, as the cover background of pale blue does not show up very well. #
