Midget Comics 2 (Tex West Cowboy Marshall), also published in 1950 by St. John, contains the same lead story “Hell Bent for a Funeral”, which GCD credits to Mike Arens. Apparently, someone has paid a Matt Baker price for a book full of Mike Arens art. St. John's Midget Comics #1 published the same story Range Law Rides to Town/Lead Flies in Buffalo Bend in February 1950. For example, It Rhymes with Lust. I don't see the art in Slash-D as being in the same league, but will enjoy hearing what you and others think once you see the whole piece for yourself.
