COMPILATION: What's your job?

496 posts in this topic

I work for the biggest Stevedoring company in the Port of Vancouver

and our company discharges and loads Container Vessels. I work as

an Operations Superintendent trying to keep Longshoremen in line.

The waterfront has been quite slow since January and that's usually

a bad sign for the world economy.

I have a second part time job on the internet doing out sourcing work

for a company called People Force. The work is a bit boring and my

smallish paychecks in US funds go directly into my paypal account,

which can be very handy for comic buying and many purchases would

easily slip past my better half if the rotten bugger didn't keep my paypal

password from me like I'm sixteen years old.:censored::pullhair::mad:

Oh man. This thread has been busy today.

I got me some homework to do, updating the compilation post.

Glad that it got bumped.

You know what's weird?

At the time this list was compiled, I was actually working for a home builder down in Charlotte, North Carolina, but I'm listed as a PM for large electrical contractor in DC/Metro area.

Now, almost a year later, the original post is correct. I am (once again) a PM for a large electrical contractor in the DC/Metro Area. :headbang:

And thank god for that. Anyone thinking about getting into the home building business (probably not likely in this economy), do yourself a favor and don't.

I make spec ads & in-house marketing materials for a phone book publishing company. We have over 100 books to publish every year so we keep busy. There's the graphic dept (all the other artists) and then there's me alone in my dept. & Yes, for one of our own ads that go in all the books, I used comic book-style art. :acclaim:
