BOOT
Wow! A whole new pile of giveaways I have never seen! You know what's weird? There are tons of Christmas giveaways, but I can't recall a single Halloween giveaway. Oh, well - here are some more free Christmas comics. AJD
Walt Kelly recycled this idea at least four times! Three times with ducks and this one, which is is my favourite of the four (and one of the books I own that I like most). The cigar sells it for me and the graduated colour is beautifully done. BOOT
Only one Christmas giveaway comic today - but it may be the granddaddy of Christmas giveaway comics. A Merry Christmas From Sears Toyland from 1939. Oversized, die-cut, this puppy is tough in any condition. Montezuma posted a peek at the inside of this comic earlier in the thread. Here are some more pics. You also get to read the heartwarming Richard Tracy strip in the comic, just full of holiday spirit.

BB-Gun
I remember Kresges and Montgomery Wards. This Rudolph book is probably their most famous giveaway. bb
BB-Gun
This is probably an appropriate cover for those of us that survived a relatively tough year and a bad economy.
PreHero
Thanks for sharing all the cool giveaways - had no idea there were so many! Have a couple to add - both funny in dark and different ways (notice the Mickey Mouse and Popeye in Santa's bag?).

You have posted MANY eyepoppers since I lasted commented, but this is completely amazing! And no, I have never seen a Halloween giveaway either... I guess it's all about pimping the department store, not actually giving it away at your front door.
