Here is one that I think some people don't like because it's a bit foreboding, personally, I think it's pretty good and the story is killer too (pun intended)

Key issue as it's Goodwin's last Creepy....and the last Frazetta cover for 2 years..

Creepy #17 9.6 white pages, tied with one other 9.6..

Wow, these are some great books! How did you happen upon them, if I may ask? I love a good story!

How many Vampi #1's have you gotten graded and what grades?

I think I recall at least two 9.2's and a 9.0.

Sorry about the 8.5 but it's still a killer book! :applause:

I thought I'd post these, since I hadn't posted them on the board before...

Both signed by Frazetta, both white pages. There's a 9.4, 9.0, and two 8.5s...Steve B's got the other 8.5, and it has OW/W pages. :cloud9:

These are going to my kids when I die. :)

will you adopt me?

I agree with Jayman, 8.5 is an acceptable grade for a Vampirella #1, that's why I still hang on to my 8.5.

It took me a while and a bit of luck, just to find it in that grade. (shrug)

Did you call CGC and ask for grader's notes? I can't see anything from your scans that would bring it below a 9.2.

Yep - lame. Clearly they "screwed the pooch" on this grade. I haven't disagreed with them in a while  Heck, the "impact" of the lower grade is only about $700 . . . :frustrated:
