Seems like a comic that is rarely found in top grade these days. I think the printer used really cheap pulpy paper on it. I've had a few and kept my best looking copy in my main UG collection, but I, too, am always hoping for that nifty upgrade.

 

Took my funkiest looking copy and had it bound into permanence, but it's also the most fragile element of this collected edition as it always seems like it could disintegrate at any time!

Vomix #3 (Vomix Comets Ltd., 1973, Antioch College, Yellow Springs, Ohio). This is an anthology of comix that was done by college students. The series ran through to the early '80s, with around a dozen issues. For some reason, the later issues are quite difficult to find.

Jacques (Jacques Boivin, 1979, Ottawa, Canada). There are two versions of this comix, one with a pink cover and one with a yellow. Boivin published 1,000 copies in total, 500 of each (pink and yellow). The yellow edition is quite rare, but, for some reason, the pink seemingly more so.

Drugs, the Mind, and You (1970). This is a really rare comic that was used to lure hippies into the Church of Scientology. While the cover mentions it being copyrighted to L. Ron Hubbard, I'm not sure if that's actually the case, but who knows. This was most likely produced by Narconon, a branch of Scientology that dealt with substance abuse.

The Buffalo Rag/Dead Concert Comix (1973, Buffalo, NY). This comic was published under the auspices of the State University of New York (SUNY) College at Buffalo. It was the result of three students, Karl Kotas, Kenny Laramy and Gary Schultz, who took part in an "experimental" independent degree program that allowed them to create their own class, wherein they published it, earning three credits in the process. Being two comics in one, it is in têtê-bêche format. Dead Concert Comix, as the name implies, features a Grateful Dead-themed story. Although the students were forbidden to sell it, some copies were sold, however, others were handed out, to passersby, on campus. As such, it is quite difficult to come by today.
