The challenge is someone paid for Fast Track service, and yet didn't receive that Fast Track experience. Does that make sense, Adonis?

Like I said, I will be more than happy to give him the refund for the FS fee. The book is being shipped out as well.

Books were received at CGC on 10/1/2012

And they were graded no later than 10/30. Maybe you could just lay out the timeline so people can decide if this guy has a legit beef. Were they submitted by you or the artist and when? When did you get the graded books back? Why did you not respond to his PM?

books were picked up the same week of Thanksgiving, along with other books. They have been shipped SLOWLY but surely to people.

As far as his PM, it was just left unanswered. The OP and I have had issues in the past where he's gone behind facilitator's back in order to get their own sketch. Regardless, it's being handled.

Wait, this wasn't retaliatory, was it?

If you accepted the books for signing, and there are set standards for handling time while honoring the expectations of the CGC program (e.g. someone pays for Fast Track service, they receive Fast Track service), saying you did anything other than provide consistent service is only going to hurt your case.

And at this point, with the timeline provided, there really is no good excuse I can think of for such a long delay. Other than if a medical situation had come into play that was outside of your control, which is not the case.

God's sake no. I don't keep people's sketches out of spite. That is juvenile!

Again, I pmed him and offered him a refund for the FS.

That would be juvenile, that's why I asked for clarification.

You went from saying that you picked up the books around Thanksgiving and had not shipped the books as of Feb 10th, and then mentioned you'd had issues with the OP.

It sounded a lot like motive. lol Best to clarify what you meant since your issues with the OP should not have anything at all to do with his books not shipping for 2 and a half months after they were in hand.

My issues with the OP have nothing to do with the shipment of books.

There are other individuals who are understand and know that their books are being shipped as well. The OP just chose the PL route.

He'll be refunded the FS fee for the three books, two which he already has, and this one.

To me, this all comes down to expectations. Were expectations set and were they met.

That's an even more important point. What was agreed to between the parties since there is some handoff time in the process?

I have participated in a number of sketch opportunities on these boards. A few of them have been with Adonis. They have all gone well, but they do take time. Heck I am still waiting on a sketch from April of last year (different boardie - delayed due to artist family life - no problem).

While I understand that people want their books, the boardies offering these opportunities also have family and work commitments. Sometimes, family and work can consume someone's time and before you know it, a few weeks have slipped by.

That's where you set expectations. I know people are busy, but sellers should know that going in and relay that to their customers.

I complete agree, but then how about a little communication sent to that individual/individuals.

It sounds like the B767293 PM'd Adonis 1-2 months ago about the sketch and that Adonis never replied. While things do come up, Adonis is on the boards frequently and could have easily answered the PM.

IMO, B767293 was more than patient given the circumstances and had every reason to bring it up here. I think it would actually be helpful for B767293 to post again and explain whether or not he and Adonis have reached an amenable agreement. If so, it seems like this has run its course.

That's when the books were picked up or that's when they were first slabbed and ready to go? Was there a delay from the time they were ready to pick up? I ask b/c I know you're local. Maybe you just wanted to make one trip and that was part of the delay.

This will all be resolved in the next day or so.

I am not keeping or holding his sketch hostage.

Other boardies have sketches that are being held too. He's the only one that took upon himself to go on the PL list.

Everyone else that I've deal with understands and knows that their sketches are coming. Unfortunately one person doesn't.

These are inappropriate comments.

If you did not meet the terms of your obligation, it does not matter if 9,999 of your customers didn't mind you not meeting them. If you failed to meet your obligations, and only one person has a problem with it, they have the right to have a problem with it, and they also have the right to not be demonized just because "no one else had a problem."

It is always a false argument.

It's always easier for me to pick up 50 books at once.
