I've sold many books to Miamiknight3434 and everything has gone flawlessly. He's actually receiving a book from me today via USPS that he still owes a final payment on. I sent it to him early because of how trustworthy he has been in our dealings and I was already making a trip to the PO. I'd like to see the PM's on the sale of this Action 1 page because I find it hard to believe Ivan wasn't straightforward and completely on the up and up.

Thank you for nice words Jamie and Jason. I honestly feel that the only reason he backed out of the deal is that he realized how cheap he was selling me the action one page. In fact 10 minutes after he had edited his original post as the page being sold someone threw up the ill take it for his full asking price.

This is how it works. You will mark the action one page as sold then on the 25th of April I will send you payment once you have my payment then you ship your book and at the same time I sent you payment in that same week I will ship you the SS1.

Look at my feedback thread I'm a honest person and a lot of board members trust me. Ill send you the SS 1 first along with payment then you can send me the action page. I have no problem with that. The problem here is that you already agreed that you would take care of shipping and now you want to change that. Which is not fair we already agreed on on something and you can't just change it.

Seller agreed on $150 plus a SS1.

 

Buyer agreed to that as well, postage included.

 

Seller contacted buyer saying that he wasn't going to pay full shipping since the buyer was getting a great deal.

 

Buyer and seller went back and forth until agreeing for the postage price.

 

Seller contacted buyer claiming someone told him his sell thread/trading was a no-no. Seller said he had been banned from adverts. Then the seller cancelled the deal.

 

Buyer said he would report the seller to probation if the deal was cancelled, and then the seller said he would do the same to the buyer.

I'd have to agree. I will admit I don't know every single rule since I'm fairly new, but if a deal was agreed on, then re-agreed on, the seller shouldn't be able to back out. If he does, and he is nominated for probation, then he shouldn't be able to give a retaliatory nomination to the buyer.

Sounds like the seller gave a hint at his tactics by backing out of the 1st deal for postage. Looks like the seller should get his wish and go on the probation list.

I think the buyer assumed the postage was included in the price. Then when the seller started talking about the shipping, it became clearer that it wasn't included. That's when the buyer started talking about the shipping.

 

I'm not sure about the banned thing, though.

I didn't want to pay for the postage but I realized I was still getting a great deal.

 

The sucking part about this whole thing was that this page was going to be a gift for someone i know.

Just seems like the Mods or someone could detect who is placed on the probation list and then attempts to come back under a different user name.

 

I mean case in point... Tiny came back under a shill and they popped him in "seconds".

 

I know the probie list is a more "self-policed" entity (according to POV), but I just wish Mods would keep more of a watchful eye on it just to keep us in the know... of course if he used a different IP address, I'm assuming there isn't a way to know unless someone figures it out.

 

Actually it is not "according to POV" but according to ARCH. Arch has made it clear that the Mods will not police the Sales forums. Even in the brief description of the Sales forums it says: "We do not monitor buys and sells. Please check out your buyer or seller before you commit to a transaction."
