mrlatko
Rick, i respectfully disagree and think you should watch the PI call again. The DB clearly turns his head and body around a good 2-3 seconds before the balls lands. There were also big questions surrounding the next play after the roughing where the refs clearly mis-spotted the ball. Not saying FL wouldnt have won anyway (they probably would have). I will rewatch... there were 2 PI , right? ,maybe I am thinking of the other one?. Rick Im talking about the one right before the bad roughing penalty. It was close, but the DB made an attempt to locate the ball and turned his head and shoulders to find it before it arrived. As long as I have been watching football (I played throughout high school and a little in college) to me what happened just isnt pass inteference, otherwise DB's would never be able to cover a WR. There was some hand fighting on both sides. That being said it wasnt the most egregious call and we both know how subjective PI calls are, it was just that call in conjunction with the next 2 that makes it seem worse then it is. If it occurred at a different point in the game nobody would be talking about it. Anybody got a Showcase 22 interior they can scan ?! Wow, great looking PQ on that book! showcase22gr1959
Hi Everyone, As most people on this board is aware, the two high grade Showcase 22 copies are up for auction this month. The Heritage CGC 9.0 and Mound City CGC 8.0 copy. These two copies will affect SC22 value and especially the 6.0+ copies: Also, this is a rare opportunity to add a copy or high grade copy to your collection or investment. Below are also a list of sales figures and other information to help anyone bid accordingly. (thumbs u Below is a list of the current estimate prices I think SC22 should be valued at. Of course, the prices are for cream/off white pages, but if your copies have higher page quality add a 10%-25% premium. 9.2 $80000-$100000 9.0 $40000-50000 8.5 $30000-35000 8.0 $15000-20000 7.5 $10000-12000 7.0 $7500-8500 6.5 $6000-7000 6.0 $5000-5500 5.5 $3500-4000 5.0 $2500-3000 4.5 $2000-2300 4.0 $1700-2000 3.5 $1300-1500 3.0 $900-1200 2.5 $800-900 2.0 $600-700 Updated list 10/24/09 Top high grade holders and sales of CGC Showcase 22: 9.0 Heritage auction ow 9.0 ComicLink auction ow 9.0 Detective27kid private sale? 8.5 Nicolas Cage Heritage auction crm/ow 8.5 Showcase22gr1959 from threads crm/ow 8.5 Doc Joe from threads crm/ow 8.0 Mound City crm/ow 8.0 Metropolis Comics private sale 8.0 Private collector 8.0 Private collector 7.5 Peewee from threads ow/w 7.5 Palamas from threads crm/ow 7.5 Private collector 7.5 Private collector 7.5 Private collector 7.0 SilverRich from threads crm/ow 7.0 Heritage auction crm/ow 7.0 ComicLink crm/ow 7.0 ComicLink lt/ow 7.0 Foolkiller from threads ow (this is just added in the CGC census) 7.0 Private collector 7.0 Private collector 7.0 Private collector 7.0 Private collector 7.0 Private collector 6.5 ComicLink ow/w 6.5 ComicLink ow 6.5 Quality Comics crm/ow (this is just added in the CGC census) 6.5 ComicLink crm/ow 6.5 Private collector 6.0 Showcase22gr1959 from thread white 6.0 M. peewee22
My reslabbed 7.5 It came out great. Fee was $85....not knowing what to expect, I believe that is super reasonable!! In a couple of years, that could easily be a 3 figure fee. The glare is from an ultra-sized CGC mylar (2mil) to protect the casing. You gotta get one of these!! Aman619
wow, getting carried away a bit? IMO no way a 9.2 #22 sells for 80-100K. I dont even think a 9.4 would top 60K. Perhaps in the current hysteria it could..... but I dont think itd be a wise purchase. in my opinion anyway.

Now, push comes to shove, maybe it is only $60k, but a 9.2 or 9.4 (either would be the "only" ) will easily pass $60K IMO

You would know that your 9.2 would be the HIGHEST graded 22 for a long time...maybe even forever! With this in mind, yes, that book could fetch six figures I believe. But who knows? MR.COMICBOOK
I predict even a low grade 1.0 or 2.0 will go for a grand in two years just like the low grade AF#15.

There may be a 9.2 copy out there, but a 9.4...no way. As I have mentioned before, the black, green, and grey cover will make it nearly impossible to obtain a 9.4. I'll easily offer 60k in a flash.
