These Disney glasses - actual glass - total of 30.

Some promotion I'd guess, but for what, no idea.....

Amazing how they are staying on the wall stuck on the side like that…..

:gossip:I'm in Australia - you are at 90 degrees in the states...

I should have guessed. I remember than "toilet water spins the other way when flushing" but I keep forgetting the 90 degree thing.

Then a nice result.

Over 80 "Club International" magazines from 1970's - 1980's

Including Volume #1 - no's #1 - #4

Yup, first ever 'Club International' - all in very good/excellent condition. Over 80 all up.

I'll put the pic in spoilers, nothing too rude, just a bottom showing, but NSFW just in case.

I had a good look on ebay, and expect to do very well on these.

However, if someone has an idea of the value of a #1 magazine, I would welcome the input.

Not being familiar with the publication, I thought "Over 80" was part of the title, like some kind of geriatric porn!

I found a nice collection of late 1950s men's mags a few years ago and they sold for crazy amounts on E-Bay. Good luck with your sale.

I'm rapidly discovering that ebay.au is way behind you guys.

I'm having issues with some listings - I may have to list on the USA site, and mark as 'sell internationally' whilst opting out of the GSP etc etc.

Crazy. A Nipple apparently destroys the fabric of Australian society, according to ebay.au.

Gumtree/Amazon may be getting the listings.

Luckily I had only listed 20 odd magazines - all 'damaged' as per comic standards. The rest - well some are 40 year old mint copies.

I'm sure I'll find a happy medium somewhere. I think ebay forgets it's 2014, and anything is available to anyone via the internet.

Are we talking Playboys, or Weasels Tore My Flesh-type stuff? I expect the Nazi, animal attack stuff with a few pinups would be more interesting than plain old nudie mags.

I have sold lots of mens mags on Ebay so here are some things I've found work -

1) under no circumstances use the word "adult" in your title-- instant flag and they will remove your listing.

2) if you are having trouble with the regular portion of the site-- use the Everything Else portion of ebay that is restricted to adults only. There is a section there for, well, everything-- but more importantly the more hard core type of gent mags, porn related material, etc

3) be extremely honest in your description of even the most beat up copies of magazines-- condition is important but they are very much like us in terms of seeing value in rare stuff and accepting spine wear, creasing, tears etc -- as long as they know what they are getting and you are priced decently.

4) scans are nice but multiple pictures of the front, back, major flaws, and interior flaws are appreciated and help sell a book. ALWAYS check to make sure centerfolds or posters (is the issue complete) are present. Lots of Penthouse issues come with enormous posters inside of them that are significant to collectors. Treat a centerfold description like you would describe a cover.

5) in the cases of damaged books-- it sometimes helps to bundle several of them together -- plenty of pictures-- spread them all out for the main picture, then add at least cover pictures of the lot-- or two per picture. Again-- description is key -- you don't need to give it a grade-- give it words explaining what is good and bad about each (tight spine, gloss is lacking, foxing on front right corner --- etc)

6) be sure to put any major stars or known commodities in the title if you can-- helps the search engine. I also tend to highight anyone of note in the book in the descriptions.

7) Sometimes age isn't the big factor-- I have found CONTENT is hugely important (porn stars, actresses, raunchy, big boobs etc sell for more than cover on more recent copies if they are in awesome shape (my 1 year subscription to SCORE magazine years ago netted me a nice profit because I took care of the books and a bidding war occurred.

8) price it to start above your rock bottom number unless you are ok with it taking some time to sell. It is a large number of books out there for certain types-- kind of the reason the obscure titles are bringing in more money as well. 90's Playboys are

hard to sell -- major glut. But 2000 + Playboys move pretty fast.

Anyway-- hope this was useful. I found this to be true while peddling my dad's old porn stash along with my own newer books as I tried to clean out my house before the move. I may be a little over the top in how much effort I put into my listings-- but buyers seem to be drawn to people who take the time to accurately reflect the item versus major mag retailers who tend to do the bare minimum.

I can assure you I listed as I would a comic - you are right - the word "adult" set alarms whistling everywhere.

For now, they have been re-instated - goodness knows why....

I listed the ones with flaws - I'll see what happens before I list the others and in what venue.

Thanks for the detailed info though - really nice of you to take the time.

I appreciated it. (thumbs u

They look to be in decent shape. Love the bronze? Congrats

majority are 6 and up - have not even begun to drag up the best of them - the first box was the "misc group" - so some dc and such - majority are marvel with a ton of spider man and hulk
