I was at a used bookstore today buying some Xmas presents and discovered these at a $1 each. Nothing high grade, but some cool old covers.

 

 

Awe man, I am drooling over those Patsy Walkers. Great find.

Love me some Patsy Walker books.

The thing with those though is to make sure the paper dolls are not cut off the interior.

Patsy & Hedy #110 was a big seller got me for the longest time mainly because of the Elvis reference among other pop icons. Until a seller on eBay found a warehouse with close to 100 high grade copies of the sucker and saturated the market.

I was stoked to find a Patsy Walker 98 (Millie!) this weekend at an antique shop but was less stoked to get it home and find the paper doll cut out

$17.50 bidding so far on the bottle I started on, was going to list an empty for a $100 bottle of scotch I had seen getting $6-7, but now someone put one up for $1.80. Why do people sell themselves short? Why bother with a $1.80 store item, with best offer to boot!

 

So they can reject your offer of $1.50 and counter with $1.65.

Estate sale find this morning. Not really a key-laden run but early 70s comics are always fun to find!

Thanks for the tip! Never owned any Patsy Walkers before so would have had no idea they have paper dolls you can cut out.

i figured one or both of your kids were college age right now

 

my wife decided she did not like the public middle school options for the 11 year old so we're paying for catholic school, so it's like we're practicing for college

Speaking of first Doomsday... Here is my haul from Saturday. Took my son with me and got him some books. Bottom row are 9.8 candidates and that makes me happy

Swap and Shop find Star Wars 14 vehicles 9 playsets..130 figures cases..instruction manuals a bit dirty..

 

I am hoping to flip before Christmas (what I don't want for my personal collection)

 

I swear it was like I found in one spot every toy from ESB and ROJ that my mother ever threw out..

 

only a few pieces from first movie though..

 

verrrry verry sweet and I am thinking I will have to have some massive playtime with them before I flip

Thrift store find which was so amazing..I was like..wtf..

 

I had to keep wondering if I feel into some shrooms or something remco,mattel,many other brands dolls from 1960-70s allllllllllllllllll new never removed from box (except one rockflowers box was opened and one dawn doll was missing shrink wrap)

 

Those "Fashion Teeners" are a rare find..

 

Also hoping to flip these sometime soon..I have a trip coming up

 

vintage petite princess doll furniture also all new in box..

 

SO I got these and of course went back to the same store the next day to check for other goodies..

 

arrived just in time to see a guy walk out with several bags of NEW in box vintage micromachines

the original teeny boxes and some Star Wars carded ones..

 

I only managed to snag a ROJ new on card and a small car set he left behind ..

 

needless to say I will be checking this store more often

 

someone donated some out of business toy store stock or something..

I don't "do" dolls but I know what a great find those were. They sell fast in that kind of shape. Congrats! Like they say on American Pickers, "I'll buy anything I can make a buck on"
