Some flea market finds.and yes a uhf dvd weird al is the bestsome video games and 4 costume spidey cards,now those 4 cards for 8$canadian each was great deal for me!

I waited for a yard sale that was advertised to start until 8am and saw no signs of life so I drove back home after waiting roughly 40mins before. Later at 8:48am I was sent photos from the seller which included Spider-Man #1 1990 silver for “$2 each.” So I drove back and the Spideys were gone. He said two guys showed up and bought a whole bunch of the short box of about 70 comics. The seller said they slept in and started about an hour later for the "rain." They were from his deceased father’s collection. No idea what I missed out on. I did get some $2 comics including art books and vintage Godzillas also!

This thing came with a comic collecting kit, that included this box, a poster, some comics, a little price guide, and bags and boards, i believe. You can find the poster relatively easily if you're willing to pay for it, but the box is pretty elusive. There's a green one, and the red one, and the red one was what I had. Had to have it, really made my day.

Also picked up a couple of Spidey pinbacks in nice shape, and oddly enough, a model and toy mag I'd been looking for, for my Alien collection. I'd been planning on grabbing one of these some day, they're not valuable, but I was not at all prepared to stumble across a lovely copy at a garage sale. So now it's mine!

Didn't pick up many comics, but I did liberate this smut for a few bucks. I'm not a big Tim Vigil guy, but $2 for that Grips Special felt like a no brainer. 

Great haul!  

I didn't know there was a red box, I've picked up the green and orange locally over the past few years - I love them!  I passed on a lower grade second orange box locally (should have probably bought it). They're great pieces for the comic shelf!

The story is still developing, but here's a group I cherry-picked up yesterday at what next week will be a local estate sale. This is the first time I've been able to talk my way in early, a skill many others on here seem to have mastered.  The son seems to think he's running a retail store (curse you, internet) but I think/hope he's going to find out differently next week.  His dad's collection includes 110 monthly and 7 quarterly issues of the Amazing Stories pulps along with some random other ones in varying condition but quite a number of them don't have the tell-tale kinds of damage you typically see (loss of paper along the spine, lots of overhanging paper at the top and/or bottom of the FC with tears, etc).  The four in the second picture are "bedsheets" and are quite large - overall those were in the best condition.  Not sure how I'm going to store them - they don't appear to be able to fit in "magazine" bags with a board. Perhaps most importantly the son brought in a photographer yesterday, a woman of a certain age, who, it turns out, has a large collection of comics her brother left her, so I had a chance to drop one of the great "calling cards" @Dr. Balls created for me on her.  Stay tuned!

Nice pick up. The Conrad in the issue is my dad. I believe it’s some short story about a teddy bear.

Awesome

I'll have to have a minute to reread, some nice short stories to finish a day.

It had some futuristic stories about kids trying to tear off heads by pulling, to discover they're robots. One caveman story that ended abruptly with the infamous clubbing of a female, and a few others I haven't got too, yet, and so far IT IS fair on the art though.

Beauties! You know, I bet the "orange" and "red" are the same box, just in different stages of fading. Those are terrific, I'd love to dig up a green one some day!

Idk but I got out to some sales, was slim pickings, then it dawned on me "LCS labor day sidewalk sale! So I got there late, but tried the regular dollar bin stores first.

Think I spent $8 all in.

Can't go wrong with those books! That 3-D Alien Worlds is one of the best covers ever!

Kellogg’s had a partnership with DC at the height of the Adam West Batman TV show’s popularity, so around 1966.

I don’t think later Batman cereal products (e.g. 1989) were from Kellogg’s.
