I got the same book in similar shape a few years ago at a flea market for about the same price.

A lady had a box of $3. Each or two for $5. I was second on the box. I bought a nice pile. The first guy said he left a bunch of them because they were “low grade”…

A couple of items from a local Estate Sale this morning - that's a (front) coverless Wings #64.  The book's in great shape except for the cover situation.  Don't see a lot of Fiction House in the wild in any condition.

Had my dear friend Heidi contact me the other day about her boyfriend's best friend. He had a collection of 1970s comic and horror magazines that he inherited from his father, but he and his mom knew nothing about them. She said she knew someone that could help out so she called me. I drove out to meet with them and it turned out to be so much fun that I literally stayed for a few hours. They were NY Giants and Yankees fans like I am and we got along like proper paisanos. 😊 I explained to them what they had and in the end they were more than happy with my offer. Here are some of the highlights...

This was yesterday's garage sale haul. The original owner collector had 15 longboxes that he hadn't touched since the mid 90s. A couple buyers did come by earlier in the week before the sale started and got his "Detectives" and 1st SA Catwoman, Spider-Man 1 Platinum, Caliber Presents 1, New Mutants 98, Thor 337, 338, Daredevil 131, 168, ASM 238, 299, 316, 361 & Hulk 180-182, 340. The seller told me he paid $600 for the Hulk 181 with the MVS cut out. I spent $500 which roughly comes out to $6 per comic. He did use the most recent OSPG to quote prices which was beneficial since he gave me lowest vg price. So I was able to get comics like the first Bane and Lobo for $10-15 each. That's particularly gracious considering these comics were not low grade and among the best conditions I've ever seen at a yard sale.

Those are some nice looking copies! Congrats on those finds. I wonder what else those other buyers snagged. There might have been some coverless goodies

If you had the sale in Cleveland you would have an identical picture down to the clothes and backward hats.  Cleveland = Buffalo
